Background And Objectives: Public health messaging increasingly emphasizes the importance of "lifestyle interventions" to reduce dementia risk. Our study aimed to understand how people interpret and respond to information about dementia risk. In a second sub-aim, we examined how these interpretations may contribute to dementia-related lifestyle stigma.

HIV prevalence among transgender women (TW) in Tijuana, Mexico is estimated at 22%. Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) reduces the risk of HIV acquisition by > 90%, though uptake in Tijuana has been low due to limited availability. The interplay between PrEP and gender stigmas may also serve as a barrier to PrEP uptake among TW in Tijuana.

Objectives: Despite an increased policy focused on home- and community-based services (HCBS), little is known about their quality of life (QoL)-a key measure of person-centered care. This paper addresses this gap by measuring consumers' self-reported QoL and identifying factors associated with disparities in QoL.
Methods: We analyzed the 2015-2016 National Core Indicators-Aging and Disability survey for 3426 respondents in Minnesota, using factor analyses to identify latent QoL domains.

Introduction: There is little HIV counselling that directly meets the needs of men in Eastern and Southern Africa, limiting men's knowledge about the benefits of HIV treatment and how to overcome barriers to engagement, contributing to poorer HIV-related outcomes than women. Male-specific approaches are needed to improve men's outcomes but may be difficult for healthcare workers (HCWs) to implement with fidelity and quality in low-resource settings. We developed a male-specific counselling curriculum which was implemented by male HCWs and then conducted a mixed-methods quality assessment.

Introduction: Most caregivers of people living with dementia will experience bereavement within 10 years, but study of and support for their needs rarely persists following the death of their care recipients. A single model that leverages theoretical insights as well as observation from lived experience might help identify who will have greater difficulty following dementia-related bereavement and suggest core mechanisms to target to relieve clinical and subclinical consequences. The millions of existing bereaved dementia caregivers likely have considerable insight into ways to improve experience.

Background: The curriculum for our generalist masters in nursing program required a heavy credit load of science courses shared with the nurse practitioner programs. The bundle of required courses far exceeded the masters in nursing program completion outcomes, increasing tuition costs and prolonging the program of study for students who were not seeking advanced practice credentials.
Purpose: The purpose of this project was to streamline the curriculum and better align course content with MS program expected learning outcomes, student learning needs, and recent accreditation requirements.

Introduction: Previous studies highlight the negative impact of adverse socioeconomic conditions throughout life on motor skills and cognitive health. Factors such as cognitive activity, physical activity, lifestyle, and socioeconomic position significantly affect general health status and brain health. This pilot study investigates the relationships among the Area Deprivation Index (ADI)-a measure of neighborhood-level socioeconomic deprivation, brain structure (cortical volume and thickness), and cognitive status in adults in Arizona.

Background: The racial/ethnic and gender disparities in cardiovascular disease (CVD) morbidity and mortality in the United States are evident. Across nearly every metric, non-Hispanic Black women have poorer overall cardiovascular health. Emerging evidence shows a disproportionately high burden of increased CVD risk factors in Black women of childbearing age, which has a far-reaching impact on both maternal and child outcomes, resulting in premature onset of CVD and further widens the racial disparities in CVD.

Individuals with chronic pain report disproportionally higher rates of trauma, yet it is unclear whether different types of trauma (eg, sexual, accidental trauma) are associated with worse pain outcomes. The present study sought to 1) identify subgroups of people with chronic pain based on trauma type, and 2) determine whether subgroups differ in terms of pain characteristics over a 2-year period. Individuals with chronic pain (N = 1,451) participated in an online study and completed self-report questionnaires at baseline, 3-, 12-, and 24-month follow-up.

Introduction: While vaccines are crucial for disease prevention, disparities in vaccination coverage persist among youths aged 10 to 29 years, including within the United States. Serious games are emerging as a new strategy to address vaccine hesitancy. This systematic review aimed to aggregate and assess the current evidence on game-based interventions to improve youth vaccination rates, evaluating their impact and identifying factors influencing their effectiveness.

Objective: Men's coercive condom use resistance (CUR) with female partners is common and is associated with greater alcohol consumption than men's noncoercive CUR engagement. Prior research indicates that emotion-related factors are relevant to alcohol-involved coercive CUR. Thus, in this alcohol administration study, we examined emotional factors as distal and proximal predictors of alcohol-involved coercive CUR among young men who have sex with women.

Background: Diabetes is a complex health condition requiring medical therapy and lifestyle modifications to attain treatment targets. Previous studies have not fully explored factors associated with adherence to medication, diets and physical activity recommendations among individuals living with diabetes in rural South Africa. We examined the association between knowledge, health belief and adherence to medication, dietary, and physical activity recommendations and explored self-reported reasons for non-adherence.
