Liver cancer is a common cancer in the world, and core-shell nanoparticles as a commonly used combination therapy for local tumor ablation, have many shortcomings. In this study, photothermal Janus nanofibers were prepared using a electrospinning technology for tumor treatment, and the products were characterized and in vitro photothermal performance investigated. The micromorphology analysis showed that the photothermic agent CuS and electrospun fibers (loaded with CuS and anticancer drug dihydromyricetin) were successfully prepared, with diameters of 11.

Introduction: Fully covered self-expandable metal stents (FCSEMSs) are commonly placed in patients with biliary stricture during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). However, up to 40% of migration has been reported, resulting in treatment failure or the requirement for further intervention. Here, we aimed to investigate the effects of metal clip anchoring on preventing the migration of FCSEMS.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) and gastric cancer (GC) rank the top five common and lethal cancers worldwide. Early detection can significantly reduce the mortality of CRC and GC. However, current clinical screening methods including invasive endoscopic techniques and noninvasive fecal occult blood test screening tests/fecal immunochemical test have shown low sensitivity or unsatisfactory patient's compliance.

Background: Older patients with cancer experience cognitive impairment and a series of neurocognitive symptoms known as chemobrain due to chemotherapy. Moreover, older populations are disproportionately affected by chemobrain and heightened negative mental health outcomes after cytotoxic chemical drug therapy. Chinese acupuncture is an emerging therapeutic option for chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment in older patients with cancer, despite limited supporting evidence.

Simulator-based training has been extensively studied in training gastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy and shown to significantly improve learning curves of novices. Data on simulator-based training in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) are scarce. We aimed to determine the impact of 2-day intensive hands-on simulator training on the course of the learning curve of novice trainees.

Introduction And Objectives: The occurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is not entirely clear at present. This study comprehensively described the landscape of genetic aberrations in Chinese HCC patients using next-generation sequencing (NGS) and investigated the association of genetic aberrations with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis.
Materials And Methods: The clinicopathological data of 78 HCC patients undergoing surgery were retrospectively analyzed.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of lymph node dissection (LND) in node-negative intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) and identify the appropriately total number of lymph nodes examined (TNLE).
Methods: Data from node-negative ICC patients who underwent curative intent resection in ten Chinese hepatobiliary centers from January 2010 to December 2018 were collected. Overall survival (OS), relapse-free survival (RFS) and postoperative complications were analyzed.

Inducible costimulator ligand (ICOSL) expressed on cancer cells has immunoregulatory functions in various malignancies. However, the role of ICOSL in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remains unclear. In this study, the role and expression of ICOSL in TNBC were analyzed using the cBioPortal and GEPIA databases.

Background And Aims: Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is playing a more and more important role in the management of pancreatic cystic lesion (PCLs). The aim of our study was to evaluate the clinical impact of EUS and EUS guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) on patients with low-risk PCLs.
Materials And Methods: Low-risk PCL patients who underwent EUS-FNA in 2 edoscopic centers were retrospectively collected and analyzed.

Background: Unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has a poor prognosis. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) for locally advanced HCC compared to transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE).
Methods: A propensity score-matched cohort study was performed in patients with locally advanced HCC with ≥ 4 tumors or portal vein tumor thrombosis (PVTT) who underwent either HAIC using oxaliplatin plus raltitrexed or TACE at three institutions between June 2015 and December 2021.
Efferent loop syndrome is a very rare complication following pancreatoduodenectomy. The treatment of efferent loop syndrome varies depending on the cause of the syndrome. Conservative treatment methods, including nasogastric drainage and enteral nutrition, are adopted that are effective in most of patients; however, surgical treatment is usually required in patients with complete loop obstruction.

Background: About 55% of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases in China are advanced HCC at the initial diagnosis. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) for HCC with portal vein tumor thrombosis (PVTT) compared to transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) after propensity score matching (PSM).
Methods: A propensity score-matched cohort study was performed in patients with advanced HCC with PVTT who underwent either HAIC using oxaliplatin plus raltitrexed or TACE at three institutions between January 2016 and January 2021.

Hepatocellular carcinoma is a common tumor with a high fatality rate worldwide, and exploring its pathogenesis and deterioration mechanism is a focus for many researchers. Increasing evidence has shown that miRNAs are involved in the occurrence and progression of a variety of cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma. Therefore, this study mainly aimed identify key miRNAs related to hepatocellular carcinoma and explore their potential functions and clinical significance.

To investigate the clinical value of adjuvant chemotherapy(ACT) in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC) who underwent radical resection and to explore the optimal population that can benefit from ACT. A retrospective cohort study method was adopted. The clinical and pathological data of 685 patients with ICC who underwent curative intent resection in 10 Chinese hepatobiliary surgery centers from January 2010 to December 2018 were collected; There were 355 males and 330 females.

Introduction: Endoscopic biliary brushing is the most common method used for sampling in patients with malignant biliary strictures (MBSs); however, its sensitivity is relatively low. There is still no consensus on endoscopy-based biliary brushing, although brushing 10 times in 1 specimen is routinely performed. This study was designed to compare the sensitivity of brush cytology for 10, 20, or 30 brushing times of a pass in 1 specimen in patients with MBSs.

Aim: This study aimed to report a case of a fully-covered metal stent for the treatment of post-Percutaneous Transhepatic Biliary Drainage (PTBD) obstruction caused by a blood clot in the common bile duct (CBD).
Case Presentation: The case involved a 75-year-old man who had a history of recurring upper abdominal pain and jaundice. The result of an abdominal computerized tomography showed a stricture in the CBD.

Drug resistance is one of the biggest challenges in cancer therapy. temozolomide (TMZ) represents the most important chemotherapeutic option for glioma treatment. However, the therapeutic efficacy of TMZ remains very limited due to its frequent resistance in glioma, and the underlying mechanisms were not fully addressed.

Objectives: Patients with advanced ampullary carcinoma (AC) who are unsuitable for surgery are most likely to have poor outcomes. The role of endoscopic radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in this population has not been fully defined. We aimed to assess the short- and long-term outcomes of RFA in a large cohort of AC patients.

Hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury (IRI) still remains an unavoidable problem in hepatectomy. The inflammatory response plays an important role in its pathogenesis. The plasma membrane-bound G protein-coupled bile acid receptor (TGR5), as one of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) families, has been proved to serve a protective role in several liver diseases.
