Aclinical and immunological examination of men with occupational pathology, including vibration disease (VD), occupational sensorineural hearing loss (SHL), and chronic mercury intoxication (CMI), was carried out. The comparison group consisted of men comparable in age and total work experience. Serum concentrations of neurotrophins (S100β, MBP, BDNF) and antibodies (ABs) to S100β and MBP proteins were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.

The implantation of optical sensors is a promising method for monitoring physiological parameters of organisms in vivo. For this, suitable hydrogels are required that can provide a biocompatible interface with the organism's tissues. Amorphous hydrogel is advantageous for administration in animal organs due to its ease of injection compared to resilient analogs.

This study aimed to follow the neurotoxic effect of peat smoke on adult outbred rats and its influence on central nervous system (CNS) parameters in first-generation offspring. Under experimental conditions, exposure to peat smoke was carried out on adult male Wistar rats for 24 h. After the end of the exposure, an open field test (OFT), electroencephalography (EEG), and histological analysis of the testes and brains of smoke-exposed males were performed, after which they were mated with intact females to obtain F1 offspring.

The aim of our investigation was to make a comparative assessment of the biological effects of silver nanoparticles encapsulated in a natural and synthetic polymer matrix. We carried out a comparative assessment of the biological effect of silver nanocomposites on natural (arabinogalactan) and synthetic (poly-1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole) matrices. We used 144 three-month-old white outbred male rats, which were divided into six groups.

The use of a developed experimental model of a natural fire made it possible to assess the consequences of 24 h exposure to peat combustion products in albino rats. Peat smoke exposure leads to behavioral disturbances in rats, characterized by an increase in locomotor activity and an increased level of anxiety. Indicators of brain bioelectrical activity of the exposed animals supported the state of anxiety and psychoemotional stress.

In 167 men with vibration syndrome (VS), allele and genotype frequencies of HSPA1B (+1267A>G) genetic polymorphism (rs1061581) were studied depending on the type of vibration exposure and on the presence or absence of metabolic syndrome (MetS). The examined subjects were divided into two groups: VS patients (n=80) and VS+MetS patients (n=87). The differences in the lipid profiles between groups were revealed against the background of the lack of distinctions in the age of patients for A/G and G/G genotypes carriers.

The increasing need of the population for crop products (СP) makes continuous monitoring of nitrate content an increasingly urgent task. The accumulation of multidirectional data on the effect of nitrates on the state of the body requires further studies to assess the alimentary risk caused by their admission to the population of various regions. of the work was to study the levels of nitrate contamination of CP and assess the associated risk to the health of children and adults in the Baikal Region.

We analyzed the relationship between polymorphic loci of CYP3A genes (CYP3A4 (rs2740574), CYP3A5 (rs776746) and CYP3A7 (rs2257401)) with the development of chronic mercury intoxication. Of 170 men examined, 120 were workers chronically exposed to mercury vapors and 50 were carriers of GG-HSPA1B (+1267A/G) genotype associated with chronic mercury intoxication. Urinary content of 4-hydroxyantipyrine (4-HAP) generated in the reaction predominantly catalyzed by CYP3A4/CYP3A5 was studied in workers without chronic mercury intoxication (group 1, N=46) and patients in the delayed period of chronic mercury intoxication (group 2, N=74) depending on the genotypes of CYP3A4 and CYP3A5.

The current study uses the metabolic probe, antipyrine, and AhRR transcript expression (qRT-PCR) to examine the impact of the AhRR (565C > G or Pro185Ala, rs2292596) genetic polymorphism upon CYP1A2 inducibility in an established cohort of male firefighters with exposure to dioxin-like chemicals. The lipid adjusted concentrations of 29 dioxin and dioxin-like congeners were measured in serum. Possession of the G allele (CG and GG genotypes) was correlated with high expression AhRR transcript and lower CYP1A2 induction than found in individuals homozygous for CC.
