Article Synopsis
  • This study explores how varying the ratio of binder materials (lime, cement, and coal gangue powder) to hemp shives affects the physical and mechanical properties of lime-hemp concrete (LHC).
  • Five different binder to hemp shives mass ratios (1.2 to 2.0) were tested, revealing that a higher binder content improved drying speed, strength, and thermal conductivity, while decreasing water absorption.
  • Advanced microstructural analyses showed that increased binder led to more hydration products, enhancing the material’s density and strength by filling internal voids and bonding effectively with hemp fibers.

Based on the innovation-driven theory and the ability-motivation-opportunity (AMO) perspective, we explore the role of intellectual property protection (IPP) in enhancing the radical technological innovation (RTI) of national research project teams (NRPT). Survey data from 336 national research project team members from universities and enterprises were used to analyze the theoretical model of this study, bringing in the chain-mediated effects of innovation milieu (IM) and group potential (GP) for analysis, as well as two-stage hybrid partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and artificial neural network techniques (ANN) to evaluate the hypotheses. The empirical findings of this paper show that the strength of IPP has a positive relationship with RTI of NRPT, and that IPP is the most important predictor of this.

The sowing depth stability and consistency of the no-tillage planter, particularly the high-speed operation, are poor. A reason for this is that the structure and parameter selection of no-tillage planter row unit profiling mechanism are unreasonable. The stability and consistency of sowing depth is beneficial when the upper and lower links of the parallel 4-bar profiling mechanism (PFPM) are parallel to the ground, but this principle is not satisfied on the uneven no-till soil.

To solve the insufficient ability of the current Thermal InfraRed (TIR) tracking methods to resist occlusion and interference from similar targets, we propose a TIR tracking method based on efficient global information perception. In order to efficiently obtain the global semantic information of images, we use the Transformer structure for feature extraction and fusion. In the feature extraction process, the Focal Transformer structure is used to improve the efficiency of remote information modeling, which is highly similar to the human attention mechanism.

State-of-the-art Tb-to-Eu energy transfer (TEET) efficiency (>90%) under ultralow Eu proportion (<6%) has been achieved in Eu/Tb bimetallic lanthanide coordination polymers (LnCPs). The yellow-light-emitting sample as sensor exhibits micromolar l-phenylalanine (l-Phe) in water and serum via obvious yellow-to-green luminometric behavior, meanwhile nanomolar-level detection limits are determined in terms of an updated Stern-Volmer equation with high selectivity and competitiveness. Excited-state inter-ligand photon transfer (ESILPT) greatly contributes to superior TEET property and outstanding luminometric behavior.

The investigation of nonlinear optical characteristics resulting from the light-matter interactions of two-dimensional (2D) nano materials has contributed to the extensive use of photonics. In this study, we synthesize a 2D MXene (VC) monolayer nanosheet by the selective etching of Al from VAlC at room temperature and use the nanosecond Z-scan technique with 532 nm to determine the nonlinear optical characters of the Ag@VC hybrid. The z-scan experiment reveals that Ag@VC hybrids usually exhibits saturable absorption owing to the bleaching of the ground state plasma, and the switch from saturable absorption to reverse saturable absorption takes place.

Stock price prediction is very important in financial decision-making, and it is also the most difficult part of economic forecasting. The factors affecting stock prices are complex and changeable, and stock price fluctuations have a certain degree of randomness. If we can accurately predict stock prices, regulatory authorities can conduct reasonable supervision of the stock market and provide investors with valuable investment decision-making information.

August 2021

College of Information and Computer Engineering, Northeast Forestry University, Harbin 150040, China.

It is difficult to achieve all-weather visual object tracking in an open environment only utilizing single modality data input. Due to the complementarity of RGB and thermal infrared (TIR) data in various complex environments, a more robust object tracking framework can be obtained using video data of these two modalities. The fusion methods of RGB and TIR data are the core elements to determine the performance of the RGB-T object tracking method, and the existing RGB-T trackers have not solved this problem well.

Realization of solar-driven aerobic organic transformation under atmospheric pressure raises the great challenge for efficiently activating O by tailored photocatalysts. Guided by theoretical calculation, phosphate groups are used to induce the construction of ultrathin Co phthalocyanine/g-CN heterojunctions (CoPc/P-CN, ≈4 nm) via strengthened H-bonding interfacial connection, achieving an unprecedented 14-time photoactivity improvement for UV-vis aerobic 2,4-dichlorophenol degradation compared to bulk CN by promoted activation of O. It is validated that more O radicals are produced through the improved photoreduction of O by accelerated photoelectron transfer from CN to the ligand of CoPc and then to the abundant single Co-N (II) catalytic sites, as endowed by the matched dimension, intimate interface even at the molecular level, and high CoPc dispersion of resulted heterojunctions.
