Unlabelled: We study a class of integer bilevel programs with second-order cone constraints at the upper-level and a convex-quadratic objective function and linear constraints at the lower-level. We develop disjunctive cuts (DCs) to separate bilevel-infeasible solutions using a second-order-cone-based cut-generating procedure. We propose DC separation strategies and consider several approaches for removing redundant disjunctions and normalization.

  • Remote patient monitoring (RPM) in cancer care improves quality of life, survival rates, and reduces medical resource use, prompting a budget impact analysis of a nurse navigator-led RPM program based on the CAPRI trial in France.
  • Data from 559 cancer patients indicated that the RPM program saved €377 per patient from the French national health insurance perspective and €504 from an all-payers perspective over an average follow-up of 4.58 months, primarily due to fewer hospitalizations.
  • The findings suggest significant cost savings associated with the CAPRI RPM program, underlining the economic benefits of RPM in cancer care, while further research is needed to evaluate long-term cost-effectiveness and real-world scalability.

Glycemic management in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) on insulin-secretagogue regimens without insulin is of importance, as this group still represents a significant proportion of patients. Risks for acute diabetes events (ADEs), including diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) or hypoglycemia, using insulin-secretagogue drugs are well established. Few studies have suggested that continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) could be useful for monitoring glucose dynamics associated with the use of such therapies.

Organizations are increasingly expecting individuals to engage in task proactivity, that is, to find better ways of doing their job. While prior research has demonstrated the benefits of task proactivity, little is known about its cognitive costs. To investigate this issue, we build theory on how task proactivity affects end-of-day cognitive performance.

Although subordinate-to-supervisor relational identification (RI) has gained significant scholarly attention in organizational research, an understanding of its nomological network is incomplete. There have also been recurring discussions about its distinctions with another more extensively researched relational construct-leader-member exchange (LMX). In this meta-analysis, we expand Sluss and Ashforth's (2007) typology, going beyond the influence of the supervisor, to systematically study the antecedents and consequences of RI and its comparison with LMX.

The literature on professional socialization suggests that their training and socialization lead physicians to prioritize professionally prescribed activities over entrepreneurial activity. This leaves unexplained how and why early career physicians would engage in entrepreneurship, a behavior that many healthcare organizations now seek to encourage. To address this shortcoming, we conducted an inductive study, augmented with survey data, of UK National Health Service physicians involved in entrepreneurial projects.

Although scholars across fields have studied threats to individuals' identities for their impact and ubiquity, the absence of standard scales has hindered the advancement of this research. Due to the lack of identity threat measures, the myriad existing propositions and models remain untested which may generate skepticism of the field. In the comparatively rare instances where deductive models have been tested, studies often suffer from methodological shortcomings related to the absence of a standard measure (e.

Access-based customer journeys.

J Acad Mark Sci

May 2023

Marketing Department, ESSEC Business School, 3 Avenue Bernard Hirsch, Cergy-Pontoise Cedex, 95021 France.

Unlabelled: Despite the popularity of access-based platforms, the understanding of customer journeys remains anchored in traditional market contexts that overlook prosumers' extended value-chain roles, interconnected experiences, and instrumental sociality in access-based consumption. Using a qualitative study on the access-based platform Rent the Runway, the authors discuss the nature of customer journeys in access-based platforms and showcase how customers perform these journeys. The study reveals two key elements: (1) systemic dynamics, which encompass just-in-time circularity and tightly coupled customer interdependencies, and (2) job crafting, which involves customer work practices that allow pain point avoidance, circulation flow adjustments, and journey stickiness increases.

Article Synopsis
  • There has been an increasing demand for real-world evidence (RWE) and data (RWD) in the last decade, aiming to expedite the approval of effective medications for patients, especially in regulatory settings.
  • However, RWE is often met with skepticism by reimbursement agencies, leading to inconsistent acceptance across different regions and hindering its optimal use despite extensive research on its principles.
  • The article proposes creating a repository to document the use of RWD for funding decisions and introduces a structured classification (taxonomy) to help evaluate evidence quality, while also recommending international standards for RWD governance.
