Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age, with significant implications for cardiometabolic health. This review focuses on the relationship between PCOS and hypertension (HTN), an area that remains underexplored despite growing evidence of its importance. PCOS is characterized by hyperandrogenism (HA), ovulatory dysfunction, and polycystic ovarian morphology (PCOM), all of which contribute to a complex metabolic profile that includes insulin resistance (IR), obesity, and dyslipidemia.

Purpose The current study aimed to find any association between various spinopelvic parameters and the quality of life in patients with degenerative lumbar scoliosis (DLS) measured as per the Oswestry disability index (ODI) and visual analog scale (VAS) in the Indian population. Methods We included 20 DLS patients of more than 40 years with a Cobb angle of more than 10° and without any trauma, tumour, infection, or congenital scoliosis presented in our tertiary care centre in the study. The VAS and ODI were calculated for each patient.

Addressing the elusive specificity of cysteine cathepsins, which in contrast to caspases and trypsin-like proteases lack strict specificity determining P1 pocket, calls for innovative approaches. Proteomic analysis of cell lysates with human cathepsins K, V, B, L, S, and F identified 30,000 cleavage sites, which we analyzed by software platform SAPS-ESI (Statistical Approach to Peptidyl Substrate-Enzyme Specific Interactions). SAPS-ESI is used to generate clusters and training sets for support vector machine learning.

Adoptive T cell immunotherapy, involving the reprogramming of immune cells to target specific cancer or virus-infected cells, has been recognized as a promising novel approach for the treatment of complex diseases. The impressive global momentum of this therapeutic approach has highlighted the urgent need for establishing it as an effective and standardized onco-therapeutic approach in a large manufacturing scale. However, given its heterogeneity and uncertainty in nature, adoptive T cell immunotherapy is associated with a high failure rate that restricts its manufacturing to a limited number of institutions worldwide.

Rationale: Isoprostane 8-iso-PGF2α is a biomarker of lipid peroxidation in cell membranes. The method developed to measure plasma total levels (esterified + free) of 8-iso-PGF2α must be reproducible and be able to reduce the use of solvents in solid phase extraction. It should be useful to evaluate oxidative stress due to the excess of free radicals that are generated by some disorder or disease.

Family medicine or general practice is the practicing discipline of the majority doctors in India, however formal academic departments of general practice (or family medicine) do not exist in India, as it is not a mandatory requirement as prescribed by the Medical Council of India; the principal regulator of medical education. Currently India has capacity to produce more than 60,000 medical graduates per year, majority of whom are expected to become general practitoners or primary care doctors without under going any vocational training in general practice or family medicine.
