Zebrafish Maintenance Conditions Affect Behavioral and Biochemical Biomarkers: A Possible Interfering Factor on the Research Results.

Over the years, scientific research with fish models has grown at a rapid pace, and issues such as animal welfare are becoming increasingly important in various areas of animal husbandry and experimentation. Here, we evaluated whether behavior is affected by long-term maintenance (75 days) in an enriched environment or a chronic stress (CS) situation. In addition, we evaluated some biochemical parameters related to redox status.

Forced displacement and the health workforce crisis: Venezuelan healthcare workers in Peru.

Background: This article contributes to the health workforce planning literature by exploring the dynamics of health professions in New Zealand's Primary Care sector and deriving broad lessons for an international audience. Professions tend influence health policy and governance decisions and practices to retain their place, status and influence. Therefore, understanding their power dynamics and the positions that they have on workforce policies and issues assists workforce governance or health system reform plans.

Cork: Enabler of sustainable and efficient coaxial structural batteries.

Structural batteries aim to advance to 'massless' energy storage units. Here we report an electrode-less coaxial battery with a cork-internal shell, CFRP(+)/cork/Cu/NaBaClO/Al(-), where CFRP is carbon fiber reinforced polymer. Financial support failure and health results: The Peruvian case.

The paper shed the light in analyzing the efficiency of Peruvian Government Financial Support in comparison with some countries in the Latin American Region and worldwide. The Covid 19 Pandemic enforced governments to apply the "Hammer Blow" which affected negatively the economy producing recession and unemployment. Governments offset the latter effect by applying subsidy policies to the Poor and then reduce the negative economic consequences of the general lockdown without getting COVID.

Examining the Moderating Effects of Work Unit Size and Task Analyzability in the Relation Between Leader's Communication Style and Leader-Member Exchange.

There is a consensus regarding the impact of the leader's communication on the relationship with their followers and on the achievement of organizational outcomes. This study seeks to contribute to clarifying the impact that contextual factors have on the leader's communication in order to know how leaders should adjust their communication style, depending on the job characteristics, to build high quality relationships with their followers. Therefore, the current research examines the moderating role of two context factors in the effectiveness of leaders' communication in generating the leader-member relationship.

The implications of COVID-19 for health workforce planning and policy: the case of Peru.

Like many countries Peru is confronting uncertainties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences. This is having impacts not only on health systems but also on the planning and preparation of its workforces. In this case article we summarise the progress Peru has been making to improve its workforce capacity and planning and review how Peru has coped with the stresses put on its health system arising from the pandemic.

Rethinking workforce planning for integrated care: using scenario analysis to facilitate policy development.

Background: A goal of health workforce planning is to have the most appropriate workforce available to meet prevailing needs. However, this is a difficult task when considering integrated care, as future workforces may require different numbers, roles and skill mixes than those at present. With this uncertainty and large variations in what constitutes integrated care, current health workforce policy and planning processes are poorly placed to respond.

The evolution of New Zealand's health workforce policy and planning system: a study of workforce governance and health reform.

Introduction: While considerable attention has been given to improving health workforce planning practice, few articles focus on the relationship between health workforce governance and health reform. By outlining a sequence of health reforms, we reveal how New Zealand's health workforce governance and practices came under pressure, leading to a rethink and the introduction of innovative approaches and initiatives.

Human resources for health in Peru: recent trends (2007-2013) in the labour market for physicians, nurses and midwives.

Background: Most analyses of gaps in human resources for health (HRH) do not consider training and the transition of graduates into the labour market. This study aims to explore the labour market for Peru's recent medical, nursing, and midwifery graduates as well as their transition into employment in the Ministry of Health's (MOH) system.

Methods: Data from four different datasets, covering 2007-2013, was used to characterize the patterns of recently trained physicians, nurses, midwives, and postgraduate-trained physicians that enter employment in the MOH system, and scenario analyses were used to describe how this rate of entry needs to adapt in order to fill current HRH shortages.

Analysis of perceived risk among construction workers: a cross-cultural study and reflection on the Hofstede model.

This article presents a cross-cultural study on perceived risk in the construction industry. Worker samples from three different countries were studied: Spain, Peru and Nicaragua. The main goal was to explain how construction workers perceive their occupational hazard and to analyze how this is related to their national culture.
