Over the years, scientific research with fish models has grown at a rapid pace, and issues such as animal welfare are becoming increasingly important in various areas of animal husbandry and experimentation. Here, we evaluated whether behavior is affected by long-term maintenance (75 days) in an enriched environment or a chronic stress (CS) situation. In addition, we evaluated some biochemical parameters related to redox status.

Engineering Physics Department, Engineering Faculty, University of Porto, R. Dr. Roberto Frias s/n, 4200-465 Porto, Portugal.

Structural batteries aim to advance to 'massless' energy storage units. Here we report an electrode-less coaxial battery with a cork-internal shell, CFRP(+)/cork/Cu/NaBaClO/Al(-), where CFRP is carbon fiber reinforced polymer. The cell may, alternatively, solely have a cork external shell cork/Cu(+)/NaBaClO/Al(-).

BMC Health Serv Res

May 2020

Department of Information Science and Centre for Health Systems and Technology, Otago Business School, University of Otago, PO Box 56, Dunedin, 9054, New Zealand.

Background: A goal of health workforce planning is to have the most appropriate workforce available to meet prevailing needs. With this uncertainty and large variations in what constitutes integrated care, current health workforce policy and planning processes are poorly placed to respond.

Background: Most analyses of gaps in human resources for health (HRH) do not consider training and the transition of graduates into the labour market. This study aims to explore the labour market for Peru's recent medical, nursing, and midwifery graduates as well as their transition into employment in the Ministry of Health's (MOH) system.

Methods: Data from four different datasets, covering 2007-2013, was used to characterize the patterns of recently trained physicians, nurses, midwives, and postgraduate-trained physicians that enter employment in the MOH system, and scenario analyses were used to describe how this rate of entry needs to adapt in order to fill current HRH shortages.
