Docetaxel, a chemotherapeutic agent used to treat breast cancer, produces a robust painful neuropathy that is aggravated by mechanical and thermal stimuli. This study was undertaken to investigate the analgesic effects of electrical stimulation on docetaxel-induced neuropathic pain in mice and to identify associated changes in ultrasound vocalizations. Introduction: Aromatase inhibitor-induced arthralgia (AIA) is a major adverse event of aromatase inhibitors (AIs) and leads to premature discontinuation of AI therapy in breast cancer patients. The objective of this protocol for a systematic review and network meta-analysis (NMA) is to provide the methodology to compare the change in pain intensity between different AIA treatments and demonstrate the rank probabilities for different treatments by combining all available direct and indirect evidence.

Introduction: Hypothyroidism, the most common endocrine disease, comprises a deficiency of thyroid hormone, causing coldness, fatigue, and dysmenorrhea. Here, we report the improvement of hypothyroidism symptoms and thyroid hormone level normalization by using Korean herbal medicine and acupuncture therapy.
Patient Concerns: A 30-year-old woman (Case 1) presented at the clinic with continuous seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp, accompanied by dysmenorrhea.

The Korean Medicine Daejeon Citizen Cohort (KDCC) study has been tasked with developing precise health promotion model for preventing and managing chronic diseases that considers individual traits, lifestyle factors and clinical data based on traditional Korean medicine.
Methods And Analysis: The KDCC study is a prospective cohort study of the community-based population in Korea.

Background: In recent studies, afatinib, a second-generation inhibitor, showed superior outcomes, when compared to the first-generation of EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), such as erlotinib and gefitinib, in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring mutations of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Patients who receive TKIs with a significant initial efficacy, inevitably experience an acquired resistance (AR) within 9 to 13 months. Traditional Korean medicine may have synergistic effects when combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Rationale: Refractory edema is characterized by persistent swelling which does not react to diuretic use and sodium restriction. Traditional herbal medicine, Gwack Rhyung Tang and Chunggan extract effectively treated refractory lower limb edema caused by cirrhosis and improved liver function.
Patient Concerns: A 64-year-old male patient with a history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hepatic encephalopathy, and cellulitis presented lower limb edema which did not react to diuretics for more than 7 months.
