OpenGrey and the Brazilian Digital Library of Thesis and Dissertations (BDTD) were used to search for grey literature. As well as a manual searches of the reference lists from the included studies, a Google Scholar search was undertaken and the first 300 hits were screened.

A Multicentric Prospective Study on Maxillofacial Trauma Due to Road Traffic Accidents: The World Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma Project.

The purpose of this prospective multicenter study was to analyze the epidemiology, patterns, and management of maxillofacial fractures due to road traffic accidents (RTAs) worldwide.Between Monday September 30, 2019 and Sunday October 4, 2020,1066 patients with RTAs related fractures were admitted to 14 maxillofacial surgery departments. The following data were analyzed: age, gender, mechanism of injury, alcohol or drug abuse at the time of trauma, maxillofacial fracture site, facial injury severity scale (FISS) score, associated injuries, day and month of trauma, time of treatment, type of treatment and length of hospital stay.

The Trip medical database was also used to identify randomised control trials investigating stainless steel and zirconia crowns. Studies published from 1 January 2000 until 6 June 2021 were included, and reference lists of included studies analysed to ensure data saturation along with grey literature searches.

A survey of dental services in England providing targeted care for people experiencing social exclusion: mapping and dimensions of access.

Introduction Poor oral health and barriers to accessing dental services are common among people experiencing social exclusion. This population experience a disproportionate and inequitable burden of oral disease. A small number of dental services have published models of care that target this population, but no national surveys have been conducted.

Behavioural intervention to promote the uptake of planned care in urgent dental care attenders: study protocol for the RETURN randomised controlled trial.

Background: People with disadvantaged backgrounds are less likely to visit the dentist for planned care, even though they have disproportionately poorer oral health. They are correspondingly more likely to experience dental problems and use urgent dental care, general practices and Accident and Emergency departments, which not only makes meeting their needs expensive, but, since these services often rely on prescriptions rather than addressing the clinical cause, can contribute to antimicrobial resistance.

Methods: The RETURN intervention has been developed with substantial community co-production, to be delivered opportunistically in urgent dental care settings.
