Mapping the graduating European dentist to established undergraduate dental education activities at Trinity College Dublin.

Introduction: "The Graduating European Dentist" Curriculum (GED) was adopted in 2020 by the Irish Dental Council as its new expectation for competencies. The Dublin Dental University Hospital (DDUH) sought to map the teaching activities for its undergraduate dental training programme to the GED. This paper describes the process developed for curriculum mapping.

The impact of COVID-19 on access to dental care for people with disabilities: a global survey during the COVID-19 first wave lockdown.

Background: It is unclear what immediate impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on delivery of oral healthcare to people with disabilities worldwide.

Aim: To report the international impact of COVID-19 lockdown on oral healthcare provision for people with disabilities before, during and after the first lockdown (March to July 2020).

Material And Methods: Cross-sectional online self-administered survey of dentists who treat people with disabilities completed 10th to 31st of July 2020.

Knowledge and behaviour of parents in relation to the oral and dental health of children aged 4-6 years.

Aim: To evaluate baseline knowledge and behaviour of parents with regard to the oral and dental health of their young children.

Methods: Following ethical approval, six urban and rural schools were identified. Questionnaires were distributed to the parents of pupils (children aged 4-6 years).

Summary of: dental composite materials and renal function in children.

Objective: To examine whether greater exposure to resin-based composite materials, which may intra-orally release bisphenol A (BPA), is associated with worse renal function outcomes in children.

Design: Prospective multi-centre study.

Setting: Community health dental clinics in Boston and Maine from 1997-2005.
