: Adverse outcomes from gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in the mother and newborn are well established. Genetic variants may predict GDM and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can potentially assist with improved screening and early identification in lower resource settings. There is limited information on genetic variants associated with GDM in sub-Saharan Africa and the implementation of AI in GDM screening in sub-Saharan Africa is largely unknown.

Methods: The databases searched included PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase via Ovid, CINAHL Plus and Medline via EBSCOhost, ProQuest and PsycINFO from inception to 31 August 2017. Keywords, such as "vitamin K", "refusal", "decline", "hesitancy", and "vaccination" were used to identify potential studies.

We report a patient with multiple fractures of the midface and Guerin sign bilaterally after maxillofacial trauma. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that this rare presentation of Guerin sign has been published.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to explore demographic characteristics of systematic reviews (SRs), meta-analyses (MAs), and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in orthodontic journals with an impact factor (IF).

Materials And Methods: An electronic search was developed and implemented to identify all the SRs, MAs, and RCTs published in the seven orthodontic journals with an IF. No restrictions were applied regarding language, publication date, or publication status.

Severity of early childhood caries in preschool children attending Al-Ain Dental Centre, United Arab Emirates.

Aim: To investigate the severity of and contributing factors of early childhood caries (ECC) in preschool children presented to a paediatric dentistry department in Al-Ain Dental Centre, United Arab Emirates; to study the level of any previous dental care provided to these children and to establish a baseline database for further research and the resources required for serving preschool children in Al-Ain (UAE).
