Background: Chemotherapy has a substantial role in decreasing the risk of recurrence and mortality in breast cancer (BC) in a dose-dependent manner where a low relative dose intensity (RDI) is associated with unfavorable outcomes. Several baseline clinicopathological factors, including pro-inflammatory biomarkers, were found to be significant determinants of low RDI. This study aimed to explore the occurrence of low RDI and its influencing factors in women with BC.

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection with manifestations that can mimic other diseases, leading to misdiagnosis. Annular syphilis is a rare atypical secondary syphilitic lesion that seldomly involves the face. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) coinfection can increasingly lead to atypical manifestations of syphilis and complicate the diagnosis.

Purpose: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) poses a substantial challenge in breast cancer (BC) chemotherapy, affecting the patient's quality of life. Recent studies have focused on exploring predictors and patterns of CIPN occurrence. We aimed to develop a prediction model for CIPN occurrence using a classification and regression tree (CART) algorithm.

Objective: Ultrahigh frequencies (UHF) have been shown to selectively suppress the sensory pathway with a rapid onset and prolonged effect compared with low frequencies. Few studies have explored the feasibility of UHF electrical stimulation in treating overactive bladder. This study aimed to investigate whether bladder overactivity could be inhibited by UHF stimulation at the L6 nerve root.

Objectives: To assess the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness of implementing a home-based aerobic and resistance exercise for patients with breast cancer receiving endocrine treatment in Indonesia.
Methods: This is a mixed methods study with concurrent design consisting of quantitative single-arm pre-post intervention and qualitative study. We recruited patients with breast cancer ( = 36) receiving endocrine treatment and assigned 12 weeks of home-based pedometer-driven walking and resistance exercises using therapeutic bands.

Background: Early colorectal cancer (CRC) symptom recognition and prompt diagnosis are crucial for the identification of cases in the earliest stage and for improving survival. This study investigates the incidence of presentation and diagnosis delays, their contributing determinants and their impact on the cancer stage at diagnosis.
Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited 227 CRC patients between November 2022 and October 2023.

Objective: Here, we sought to report ABO and D antigen distribution in blood donors from Yogyakarta, Java Island, Indonesia. Phenotype data (ABO/D) from donors who donated blood between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2023, at the Yogyakarta Blood Donor Unit were extracted from the blood donor registry, and phenotype frequency was calculated subsequently.
Results: In the 245,307 blood donors collected over six years, ABO phenotype frequency: O (frequency: 38.

Hemangioblastomas are rare, benign, and highly vascular tumors of the central nervous system, often associated with von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) syndrome, an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by multiple tumors. We present a case of a 32-year-old male with progressive headaches, visual disturbances, and motor deficits, who was diagnosed with multiple hemangioblastomas in the cervical-thoracic spinal cord and bilateral cerebellum through MRI. Surgical resection and histopathological biopsy confirmed the diagnosis.

Background: In Indonesia incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) remains high. Information about early symptoms that can offer clinicians insights for timely diagnosis, prompt referral and quick treatment decisions is very limited. This study aims to examine the pattern of CRC early symptoms and its association with tumor laterality, age at onset, metastatic status, and symptom-to-treatment initiation (STI) duration and delay.

Introduction: One of the etiologies of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is chronic infection related to lymphoma pathogenesis, with a high prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection seen. In determining the treatment and prognosis of NHL, cluster of differentiation 30 (CD30) immunohistochemical staining plays an important role. High levels of CD30 are found in patients with HCV infection.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a life-altering condition that severely impacts an individual's functional capabilities and has significant implications for both the individual and society. Large animal models are crucial for understanding the pathology and biomechanics of SCI. Dogs () are promising models for SCI research due to their anatomical and histopathological similarities to humans.

Objectives: This study aimed to leverage Visually AcceSAble Rembrandt Images (VASARI) radiological features, extracted from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, and machine-learning techniques to predict glioma grade, isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation status, and O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) methylation.
Methodology: A retrospective evaluation was undertaken, analyzing MRI and molecular data from 107 glioma patients treated at a tertiary hospital. Patients underwent MRI scans using established protocols and were evaluated based on VASARI criteria.

Background: The current treatment options for overactive bladder (OAB) continue to pose challenges for refractory cases and may involve invasive procedures. To assess the potential benefit of non-invasive repetitive peripheral magnetic stimulation (rPMS) on sacral roots using intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS) as treatment option for OAB. The study involved a total of 33 rats, which were divided into three different experimental phases.

Introduction: Delayed graft function (DGF) is a common condition that necessitates dialysis during the first week after transplantation. Although DGF rarely occurs following living-donor kidney transplantation (LDKT), it may eventually lead to acute or chronic graft rejection. This study aimed to assess the risk factors for DGF in patients who underwent LDKT.
