Comparison of Clonidine with Bupivaicaine vs Plain Bupivaicaine in Transversus Abdominis Plane (TAP) Block in Women Undergoing Cesarean Delivery Under Spinal Anesthesia: Randomized Clinical Trial.

Introduction: Transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block is a technique of regional anesthesia, introduced by Rafi in 2001. Various additives have been added to prolong the duration of effect of TAP block. We conducted this study to see if addition of clonidine to bupivacaine significantly increases the duration of effect of TAP block.

Glomus Tumor of the Pterygopalatine Fossa: A Rare Case Report.

The pterygopalatine fossa (PPF) is a challenging space and pathological processes in this anatomical space are uncommon. This report presents a case of glomus tumor right PPF in a 65 years old female patient who underwent tumor removal by endoscopic transnasal-transmaxillary approach with preoperative selective embolization of the right internal maxillary artery.

To Evaluate the Efficacy of Tissue Autofluorescence (Velscope) in the Visualization of Oral Premalignant and Malignant Lesions among High-Risk Population Aged 18 Years and Above in Haroli Block of Una, Himachal Pradesh.

Introduction: Visually enhanced lesion scope (Velscope) that identifies reduction in tissue fluorescence in dysplasia can prove to be effective in screening for potentially malignant lesions. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of device that utilizes the principles of tissue autofluorescence (Velscope) in the detection of dysplastic and/or neoplastic changes in oral mucosal lesions using biopsy and histopathology as "gold standard."

Materials And Methods: Out of nine hundred fifty patients with suspicious oral mucosal lesions, 250 patients were subjected to conventional oral examination followed by Velscope examination.

 Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a breathing disorder related to sleep that has a negative effect on the behavior and health of people around the globe. Chronic hypoxemia and variations in the concentration of oxygen in the blood noticed in OSA individuals may have adverse effects on the process of auditory transduction and transmission.  To assess the effect of OSA on hearing and to find out the parameters that have more influence on hearing recorded during polysomnography of patients with OSA.

Kimura's Disease-A Rare Cause of Postauricular Swelling: A Case Report from the Hilly Region.

Teleophthalmology as a Model for Detecting Ocular Diseases in Tribal Areas of a North West State in India.

Background: Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, a high altitude tribal district, situated at altitudes varying from 10,000 to 15, 000 ft. above mean sea level is cut off from the rest of the country for nearly 6 months due to heavy snowfall in the mountain passes. In the absence of any ophthalmologist and ophthalmic technician, the provision of eye care is virtually absent.

Relationship between histologic chorioamnionitis and genital tract cultures in pre term labour.

The objective was to determine the relationship of histological chorioamnionitis (HCA) with genital tract cultures in preterm birth. Among two hundred women recruited for the study, 100 were taken as cases with gestational age between ≥28 and <37 weeks and 100 women with gestational age >37 weeks were taken as controls. Vaginal swabs were taken for culture sensitivity and vaginal smears were made for performing whiff test and heat dry gram stained smear was examined for growth of microorganisms.

Morbidity pattern, social safety net, and drug adherence level among geriatric patients attending in a health-care facility: A cross-sectional study.

Introduction: Financial support system available to geriatric populations affects their adherence level to the prescribed treatment leading to a rise in chronic disease burden.

Objective: The aim of this study was to ascertain the disease pattern, health expenditure, and adherence to the prescriptions among geriatric patients reporting to a hospital in North India.

Methodology: This descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted from July 2017 to June 2018.
