Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is now considered the mainstay of aortic stenosis management; however, the optimal antithrombotic therapy in patent without indications for an oral anticoagulant (OAC) is yet to be identified. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) treatment versus the standard of care in patients without indications of OACs after TAVR. We synthesized randomized controlled trials (RCTs) from Web of Science, SCOPUS, EMBASE, PubMed, and Cochrane until 18 August 2022.

Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), formerly named Wegner's granulomatosis is an antineutrophilic cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) associated vasculitis of the small vessels. GPA can affect several organ systems even though predominantly affects respiratory and renal systems. Pathogenesis is initiated by activation of the immune system to produce ANCA, Cytoplasmic (C-ANCA) antibody, which thereby leads to widespread necrosis and granulomatous inflammation.

Pregnancy is an immunocompromised state and, for this reason, a pregnant woman is at a higher risk of getting infected as compared with a healthy individual. There is limited data available regarding the impact of COVD-19 on pregnancy; however, the case of miscarriage due to placental infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in second trimester has already been reported. We searched for all published articles in PubMed, Science Direct, Cochrane, Scopus, and Embase.

Background: Studies comparing clinical outcomes with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) versus optical coherence tomography (OCT) guidance for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients presenting with coronary artery disease, including stable angina or acute coronary syndrome, are limited.
Methods: We performed a detailed search of electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane) for randomized controlled trials and observational studies that compared cardiovascular outcomes of IVUS versus OCT. Data were aggregated for the primary outcome measure using the random-effects model as pooled risk ratio (RR).
