Photothermal therapy (PTT) is a noninvasive and effective thermal therapeutic approach. Near-infrared (NIR) light responsive organic nanoparticles (NPs) have been shown to enhance the efficacy of cancer PTT. However, photothermal ablation induced NPs are currently more effective in treating primary and metastatic cancer.

The main objective of the present research work is to assess the biological properties of the aqueous plant extract (ACAE) synthesised silver nanoparticles from the herbal plant , and their biological applications. The silver nanoparticle syntheses from Ageratum conyzoides (Ac-AgNPs) were optimised with different parameters, such as pH (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10) and varied silver nitrate concentration (1 mM and 5 mM). Based on the UV-vis spectroscopy analysis of the synthesised silver nanoparticles, the concentration of 5 mM with the pH at 8 was recorded as the peak reduction at 400 nm; and these conditions were optimized were used for further studies.

A new integration strategy of transition metal sulfide with carbon-based materials is used to boost its catalytic property and electrochemical performances in supercapacitor application. Herein, crystalline reduced graphene oxide (rGO) wrapped ternary metal sulfide nanorod composites with different rGO ratios are synthesized using hydrothermal technique and are compared for their physical, chemical, and electrochemical performances. It is found that their properties are tuned by the weight ratios of rGO.

In the emerging photovoltaic (PV) technologies, the golden triangle rule includes higher efficiency, longevity (or stability), and low cost, which are the foremost criteria for the root of commercial feasibility. Accordingly, a unique low-cost, ecofriendly, all-solution-processed, "bio-inspired" graphitic carbon (extracted from the most invasive plant species of : listed as one of the 100 most dangerous species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature) and a mixed halide perovskite interface-engineered, unique single-cell large-scale (10 × 10 sq.cm with an active area of 88 cm) carbon-based perovskite solar cell (C-PSC) are demonstrated for the first time, delivering a maximum PCE of 6.

In this study, zeolite sodalite SOD (50NaO:AlO:5SiO), zeolite LTA (2NaO:AlO:1.926SiO) and zeolite FAU (16NaO:AlO:4SiO) of different structures were synthesized successfully through simple conventional hydrothermal crystallization technique without using any template agent. Morphological analysis of three different types of zeolites revealed that the samples exhibit three different shapes such as the "Raspberry-like", "Dice" cube like and "Octahedral" shaped morphology respectively.

The use of vegetal species for gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) biosynthesis can constitute an alternative to replacing the extensive use of several hazardous chemicals commonly used during NPs synthesis and, therefore, can reduce biological impacts induced by the release of these products into the natural environment. However, the "green nanoparticles" and/or "eco-friendly nanoparticles" label does not ensure that biosynthesized NPs are harmless to non-target organisms. Thus, we aimed to synthesize AuNPs from seaweed Gracilaria crassa aqueous extract through an eco-friendly, fast, one-pot synthetic route.

Dye-sensitized solar cell's electron transport layer is responsible for transporting photo-generated electrons to the outer circuit. Utilizing localized surface plasmon resonance (SPR), light absorption could be enhanced to a greater degree, which can drive dye molecules to excited state more effectively than far-field light. In this work, TiO nanoparticles were prepared by solvothermal method, and Ag nanoparticles were decorated over TiO surface through photodeposition method.

Introduction: N-methyladenosine (m6A) is one of the most common post-transcriptional modifications in RNA, which has been related to several biological processes. The accurate prediction of m6A sites from RNA sequences is one of the challenging tasks in computational biology. Several computational methods utilizing machine-learning algorithms have been proposed that accelerate screening of m6A sites, thereby drastically reducing the experimental time and labor costs involved.

Background: Insulinoma-associated protein 1 (INSM1), a transcriptional regulator with a zinc-finger DNA-binding domain, has been validated as a cytoplasmic marker for neuroendocrine differentiation of tumor cells. Next to its abundant expression in the fetal pancreas, it is expressed in brain tumors, pheochromocytomas, medullary thyroid carcinomas, insulinomas and pituitary and small-cell lung carcinomas. INSM1 is not expressed in normal adult tissues and/or most non-neuroendocrine tumors.
