Statement Of Problem: The evaluation of incisal translucency in anterior teeth greatly influences esthetic treatment outcomes. This evaluation is mostly subjective and often overlooked among dental professionals. The application of artificial intelligence-based models to detect the incisal translucency of anterior teeth may be of value to dentists in their restorative dental practice, but studies are lacking.

Economical synthesis of oxygen to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hyg Environ Health Adv

June 2023

Department of Engineering and Management, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India.

The whole world has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and oxygen demand is greater than ever, but the supply is expectedly short. People in need of this oxygen are not able to receive it, especially those who cannot afford it. In addition to these issues, the oxygen from production plants is not getting delivered to hospitals on a timely basis due to insufficient availability of tankers and cylinders.

The organic wastes though biodegradable is harmful and pose a serious threat to the environment. This research focused to; harness the cellulose existing in the peels of vegetables, banana and bagasse to establish Hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF) bioresin. Eleven experiments were performed with different w/w% of DMSO and Sulphuric acid to find the best solvent extract.

The present research aimed to analyse the impact of economical Fe impregnated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) char (PETC-Fe) for adsorption of As (III) through series of column experiments. For an inlet arsenite concentration of 1,000 μg/L, PETC-Fe exhibits excellent uptake capacity of 1,892 μg/g. Central composite design (CCD) in response surface methodology (RSM) was used to evaluate the influence of various process variables on the response function (breakthrough time) for optimization and assessment of interaction effects.

Background: Credentials of molecular diagnostic approaches are an important goal. Since protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis is an apposite method for molecular valuation, a PPI grid related to Intrinsically Disordered Proteins (IDPs) of RA was targeted in the present research.

Aim: The aim of the study is to analyse the role of highly disordered proteins and their functional parameters in causing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).

Toxicity Mitigation of Textile Dye Reactive Blue 4 by Hairy Roots of and Testing Its Effect in Model Systems.

Biomed Res Int

August 2022

Department of Biological Sciences, Sunandan Divatia School of Science, NMIMS Deemed to be University, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai 400056, India.

An anthraquinone textile dye, Reactive Blue 4 (RB4), poses environmental health hazards. In this study, remediation of RB4 (30-110 ppm) was carried out by hairy roots (HRs). UV-visible spectroscopy and FTIR analysis showed that the dye undergoes decolourization followed by degradation.

The penetrative ferrothermal convection (FTC) in a ferrofluid (FF) saturated high porosity anisotropic porous layer via uniform internal heating is investigated. The Brinkman-extended Darcy equation is applied to describe the flow in the porous medium. The permeability in the vertical direction is taken to be twice that of the permeability in the horizontal direction while the ratio of horizontal to vertical effective thermal diffusivity is allowed to vary.

Sustainable materials, such as vegetable oils, have become an effective alternative for liquid dielectrics in power transformers. However, currently available vegetable oils for transformer application are extracted from edible products with a negative impact on food supply. So, it is proposed in this study to develop cottonseed oil (CSO) as an electrical insulating material and cooling medium in transformers.

Post Graduate Department of Physics, Government Science College, Chitradurga 577 501, India. Electronic address:

β-Nickel hydroxide (β-Ni(OH)2) was successfully synthesized using precipitation method. The structure and property of the β-Ni(OH)2 were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform infra-red (FT-IR), Raman spectra and thermal gravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA). The results of the FTIR spectroscopy and TG-DTA studies indicate that the β-Ni(OH)2 contains water molecules and anions.
