The purpose of this review is to correlate the probable causes of anxiety disorders with the imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain and also highlight the drugs for these mental disorders that have been discovered based on the biosynthesis and catabolism of these brain chemicals. Peer-reviewed journal's articles, news and books published in English between 1997 and 2023 describing the role of neurotransmitters in anxiety disorders were searched in Google Scholar, Research Gate and PubMed databases. The contents were carefully analyzed by the authors and understood and compiled to build a concise perspective on the role of biosynthesis and catabolism of neurotransmitters in anxiety and depression.

Background: Flatfoot is considered by the collapse of the foot arch, altered biomechanics and impacting functional abilities. The biomechanical gait alteration of foot kinematics and kinetics in individuals with flatfoot, based on gender, age and Body mass index (BMI) in each cohort is unclear. This study explores how gender, age, and body mass index (BMI) impact distinct foot biomechanical characteristics, including ankle joint angle (Jc°), Ground force reaction angle (GFR°), Achilles tendon force (T), Ankle joint force (Jc) and vertical ground reaction force (VGRF) during the gait stance phase, in flatfoot versus normal-foot individuals on Indian Population.

A composite of Zinc oxide loaded with 5-weight % silver decorated on carbon nanotubes (Ag-loaded ZnO: CNT) was synthesized using a simple refluxed chemical method. The influence of deviation in the weight % of carbon nanotube loading on photocatalytic dye degradation (methylene blue and rose bengal) and antibiotic (antimicrobial and antifungal) performance was investigated in this study. The light capture ability of Ag-loaded ZnO:CNT in the visible region was higher in photocatalytic activity than that of Ag-loaded ZnO and ZnO:CNT.

A new Co(II) complex, [Co(NCS)(L)] (1) has been synthesized based on levamisole (L) as a new ligand. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses confirm that the Co(II) ion is having a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry in the complex. Notably strong intramolecular S⋅⋅⋅S and S⋅⋅⋅N interactions has been confirmed by employing Quantum Theory of Atoms in Molecules (QTAIM).

Background: Fungal infections have posed a big challenge in the management of their treatment. Due to the resistance and toxicity of existing drug molecules in the light of pandemic infections, like COVID-19, there is an urgent need to find newer derivatives of active molecules, which can be effective in fungal infections.
Objective: In the present study, we aimed to design pyrazole derivatives using molecular modeling studies against target 1EA1 and synthesize 10 molecules of pyrazole derivatives using a multi-step synthesis approach.

Introduction: Stigma contributes to a significant part of the burden of schizophrenia (SCZ), therefore reducing false positives from the diagnosis would be liberating for the individuals with SCZ and desirable for the clinicians. The stigmatization associated with schizophrenia advocates the need for high-precision diagnosis. In this study, we present an ensemble learning-based approach for high-precision diagnosis of SCZ using peripheral blood gene expression profiles.

Bacillus proteolyticus MITWPUB1 is a potential producer of biosurfactants (BSs), and the organism is also found to be a producer of plant growth promoting traits, such as hydrogen cyanide and indole acetic acid (IAA), and a solubilizer of phosphate. The BSs were reportedly a blend of two classes, namely glycolipids and lipopeptides, as found by thin layer chromatography and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy analysis. Furthermore, semi-targeted metabolite profiling via liquid chromatography mass spectroscopy revealed the presence of phospholipids, lipopeptides, polyamines, IAA derivatives, and carotenoids.

The sustainable chemical energy of HO as a fuel and an oxidant in an advantageous single-compartment fuel cell design can be converted into electric energy, which requires molecular engineering to design suitable cathodes for lowering the high overpotential associated with HO reduction. The present work covers the synthesis and structural characterization of a novel cathode material, [FeIII2(hnmh-PLY)] complex, 1, designed from a PLY-derived Schiff base ligand ()-9-(2-((2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)methylene)hydrazineyl)-1-phenalen-1-one, hnmh-PLYH. Complex 1, when coated on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode (GC-1) significantly catalyzed the reduction of HO in an acidic medium.

The current study aims to comprehend how different bone densities affect stress distribution at the bone-implant interface. This will help understand the behaviour and help predict success rates of the implant planted in different bone densities. The process of implantation involves the removal of bone from a small portion of the jawbone to replace either a lost tooth or an infected one and an implant is inserted in the cavity made as a result.
