Background: Shock is a life-threatening syndrome in which tissue perfusion and oxygen delivery are inadequate. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) has been suggested as a noninvasive tool for monitoring and detecting the state of inadequate tissue perfusion. Renal and mesenteric oximetry show decreased cardiac output earlier than systemic or global parameters of tissue oxygenation or cerebral oximetry.

Objectives: What are the Predictors of Intracranial Aneurysm (IA) Rupture based on angiographic findings among patients in Indonesia's Population Based on Angiographic Findings.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study on subjects with IA not caused by congenital aetiologies or other vascular malformations with cerebral angiography performed from January 2017 to January 2021. Introduction: The incidence of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) has increased, but the optimal management and the optimal way to achieve vascular control are still controversial. This study aims to compare maternal outcomes between different methods of vascular control in surgical PAS management.
Material And Methods: A retrospective cohort study on consecutive cases diagnosed with PAS between 2013 and 2020 in single tertiary hospital.

Pott's disease is a distinctive presentation of tuberculosis that occurs in approximately 5% of extrapulmonary cases that progressively developed a voluminous paravertebral abscess. While the disease is marked only by the occurrence of inflammatory symptoms and low-grade pain, the advanced mimics other infections and malignancies. Therefore, early recognition is important for proper treatment preventing deformity of the residual spinal and permanent neurological deficit.

BACKGROUND This was a retrospective study conducted at a rural referral center in East Java, Indonesia, to evaluate the association between the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) on hospital admission and the incidence of new symptomatic heart failure (HF) within 6 months in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). MATERIAL AND METHODS The study population consisted of all ACS patients who were hospitalized between 1 January and 31 December 2018 at a non-percutaneous coronary intervention-capable secondary referral hospital and came for a routine follow-up until 6 months afterwards. The diagnosis of new symptomatic HF was based on International Classification of Diseases 10th revision code I50.

Background: Neuropathic pain is a major problem to date because of its high prevalence and lack of effective treatment. Neuropathic pain processes can be influenced by many factors and at various levels of the nervous system, including progesterone and the opioid system. The various mechanisms of the effect of progesterone on pain are still controversial, while the effect of progesterone on the activation of the opioid system also needs to be proven.

An earlier systematic review reported no differences in the incidence of recurrent venous thromboembolism and major bleeding between factor Xa inhibitors and standard anticoagulation. The present meta-analysis aimed to assess the effectiveness of factor Xa inhibitors for the management of venous thromboembolism (VTE), specifically in patients with cancer, as there were more randomized clinical trials (RCTs) available. The PubMed and Cochrane Library databases were systematically screened for all RCTs assessing factor Xa inhibitor efficacy for VTE management in cancer patients.

The development of a direct reprogramming method to provide cell availability for regenerative therapy has led to a lot of studies. However, the search for appropriate cell sources and methods is still being carried out until now. Direct reprogramming using microRNA-1 (miR-1) is an option to obtain cardiomyocytes from other cells because miR-1 has evidence to play a role in the development of cardiac muscle cells in the embryo.

Background: Aortic dissection (AD) is a relatively rare but dreadful illness, often accompanied by severe, sharp (or 'tearing') back pain or anterior chest pain, as well as acute hemodynamic compromise. Painless dissection has also been reported in rare cases. Echocardiography has become the most commonly used imaging test for evaluating cardiovascular disease and, thus, plays an important role in aortic disease diagnosis and follow-up.

The hypoxic environment is a substantial factor in maintenance, proliferation, and differentiation of the cell cultures. Low oxygen is known as a potent chondrogenesis stimulus in stem cells that is important for clinical application and engineering of functional cartilage. Hypoxia can potentially induce angiogenesis process by secretion of cytokines.

For patients with symptomatic bradyarrhythmia, cardiac pacing is the only appropriate treatment option. Electrical and mechanical dyssynchrony caused by traditional right ventricular apical pacing leads to left ventricular dysfunction and atrial arrhythmias. Physiological pacing stimulates natural cardiac conduction, resulting in synchronized ventricular contraction.

Objectives: This research aims to analyze the expression of pro-apoptotic proteins (Bax, p53) and anti-apoptotic protein (Bcl-2) in the nerve roots of the brachial plexus following traumatic brachial plexus injury (TBPI) in the early and late stage.
Methods: A total of 30 biopsy samples were taken from the proximal stump of the postganglionic nerve roots of the TBPI patients' brachial plexus from January 2018 until September 2019. The samples were taken from patients within six months of trauma (early stage, group A) and more than six months following trauma (late stage, group B).
