First-trimester Doppler Ultrasound for Predicting Successful Management of Pregnancy with Recurrent Pregnancy Losses Due to Antiphospholipid Syndrome and Thrombophilia: A Cohort Study.

Background: Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) often stems from a hypercoagulable state that exacerbates conditions such as antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and thrombophilia, leading to early placental issues. Although treatments such as low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) and low-dose aspirin (LDA) are used, outcomes vary. This study proposes using first-trimester Doppler ultrasound - specifically, uterine radial artery resistance index (URa-RI) at 8 weeks and uterine artery pulsatility index (Ut-PI) with pre-diastolic notching (Ut-notch) at 11-13 weeks - to better predict successful pregnancies and reduce risks of adverse outcomes.

Cervical Neuroendocrine Carcinoma Presenting as Isolated Large Ovarian Metastasis: A Case Report.

BACKGROUND Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the cervix is rare and has high mortality and recurrence rates. The clinical symptoms of cervical NEC, such as abnormal vaginal bleeding and discharge, are similar to those of other cervical cancers. Here, we describe a case involving a 42-year-old woman with cervical NEC accompanied by an isolated large ovarian metastasis.

Prevalence, Risk Factors, and Quality of Life of Knee Osteoarthritis in Urban Community in Indonesia: A COPCORD Study.

Aim: This study evaluates the prevalence, risk factors, and quality of life of patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) in the Indonesian population.

Method: A cross-sectional study of 3597 adults (≥ 18 years old) was conducted in 2023 involving 15 different cities in Indonesia. Knee OA was classified according to the clinical ACR criteria.

Methods: Two independent reviewers conducted a literature search in PubMed (MEDLINE), EMBASE, Google Scholar and the Cochrane Library in July 2024, followed by data extraction and quality assessment. This study followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and meta-analysis guidelines.

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is a chronic condition requiring lifelong management that affects a large number of children and adolescents globally. While diabetes care has improved over the years, low-middle income countries (LMIC) like Indonesia still struggle to achieve optimal diabetes care due to limited access to healthcare professionals, insulin, diabetes technologies, and self-monitoring blood glucose (SMBG) devices. Data from the Indonesian Pediatric Society registry has reflected a stark increase in the number of children with T1DM, with the current prevalence significantly concentrated on Java Island and a noticeable underreporting in rural regions.

Several studies have reported outbreaks of Kawasaki disease among children amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Vitamin D possesses high utility in modulating the immune system to repair and prevent severe inflammation in COVID-19. This study aims to explore the association between Kawasaki disease and vitamin D levels in pediatric patients and describe the potential role of vitamin D in promoting recovery and preventing complications associated with Kawasaki disease in pediatric patients with COVID-19.

Background: Observational studies have linked low vitamin D (VD) levels to increased asthma attacks in children. The Delphi Method: Developing a Telerehabilitation Practice Guideline for Patients in Indonesia with Long COVID.

Telerehabilitation has the potential to help expand the reach of rehabilitation intervention. An online questionnaire-based Delphi method set out to develop a telerehabilitation guideline for patients in Indonesia with Long COVID. A Delphi panel comprised of 24 experts was selected from all relevant disciplines.

Oral fibrinolytic agent in hyper-coagulopathy in severe COVID - 19 ARDS Patients: two case reports.

Abstract: The use of oral fibrinolytic agent (DLBS1033) has been proven for adjuvant treatment in venous thromboembolism, however until now there is no published report about its uses and effectiveness as an addition to the standard therapy of severe COVID-19 cases and hypercoagulopathy. We present two cases of severe confirmed COVID-19 from PCR tests, seen at Ngimbang Hospital, Lamongan, East Java in October and November, 2020. The first patient was a 51-year-old male who presented to ER with fever, dyspnoea, cough, and oxygen desaturation (SpO2 room air 87%), with comorbids of pulmonary hypertension (PH), atrial fibrillation, heart failure secondary to corpulmonale, and hypercoagulopathy.

Conquering the obstacles during the intervention of a proximal chronic total occlusion of right coronary artery with a concurrent significant ostial stenosis: a case report.

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on a proximal chronic total occlusion (CTO) of the right coronary artery (RCA) with concurrent ostial stenosis can be challenging because of the significant difficulty in properly engaging the catheter and providing stable support during the procedure. We report the case of a 57-year-old man with chronic coronary syndrome who underwent an elective PCI at the Dr. Soetomo General Hospital in Surabaya, on April 13th, 2022.
