We present the case of a 36-year-old male patient with a posttraumatic composite defect of the lower two-thirds of the anterior aspect of the left leg with exposed necrotic tibia in an old, neglected type 3b fracture of the tibia of 9-month duration. The options for definitive soft-tissue cover include microvascular free tissue transfer and cross-leg flaps. In trauma cases, the surrounding tissue is usually damaged, and the recipient vessels are frequently implicated, ruling out the use of a microvascular free flap.

Collet-Sicard syndrome, resulting from the involvement of all four lower cranial nerves, is an extremely rare condition. This case report details a 69-year-old female patient who presented with classic signs and symptoms of lower cranial nerve palsies (IX, X, XI, and XII) and was subsequently diagnosed with Collet-Sicard syndrome secondary to tuberculosis at the base of the skull. A contrast-enhanced MRI of the neck revealed bone marrow edema in the clivus, occipital condyle, and C1 vertebra, along with diffuse surrounding soft tissue swelling and collection, findings consistent with tuberculosis.

Background: Vascular hypotheses was previously considered to play a major role in pathophysiology of migraine. Recently, neurological mechanisms have been proposed with implication of the trigemino-vascular pathway. Deciphering the pathophysiology of this disorder is extremely important for diagnosis, assessment of progression and to explore targeted treatment options.

Non-ossifying fibroma (NOF) is a benign expansive lytic lesion more frequently found in children and adolescents at the metaphysis of long bones in and around the knee joint, typically resolving spontaneously or by ossification. This report presents a rare case of an 11-year-old child with a pathological subtrochanteric femur fracture attributed to an underlying NOF. We describe the diagnosis and surgical management of curettage and internal fixation using a proximal humerus locking plate, resulting in complete resorption of the lytic zone and an excellent clinical outcome.

Introduction: Enchondroma protuberans (EP), a rare form of enchondroma with exophytic growth, differs radiographically from classical enchondromas and can mimic osteochondroma, periosteal chondroma, or chondrosarcoma. Proper differentiation is crucial to avoid unnecessary radical resection, as EP requires intralesional curettage rather than the surgical removal typical for osteochondromas.
Case Report: A 14-year-old male presented with a progressively enlarging, painless mass on the lateral aspect of his left hand, initially noticed 4 years ago.

Introduction: Methotrexate (MTX) acts by suppressing multiple immune pathways involved in the pathogenesis of lichen planus (LP). Trials assessing the efficacy and relapse rates of methotrexate in LP are lacking.
Objectives: Our objective was to analyze the efficacy and safety of low-dose methotrexate in generalized and recalcitrant LP patients retrospectively and to assess the relapse rates in patients after stopping MTX therapy.

Gold-induced cytokine (GOLDIC) is a novel orthobiologic approach utilizing gold particles to produce a serum rich in immunoregulating cytokines and growth factors, which is being explored for its potential in tissue regeneration and treating musculoskeletal issues like knee osteoarthritis (OA). This study aims to review its mechanism of action along with the outcomes of , preclinical, and clinical studies, with a secondary focus on documenting clinical trials related to its use in OA of the knee. A systematic search was conducted in four databases (Embase, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science) for studies on GOLDIC therapy for knee OA, using specific keywords related to knee anatomy and OA.

Heat-related illnesses include a spectrum of disorders ranging from heat syncope, muscle cramps, and heat exhaustion to heat emergencies such as heatstroke. Severe heatwaves can lead to extremely high environmental temperatures and a spurt of cases of heat-related illnesses and heatstroke. The incidence of such heat-related medical emergencies was much higher in 2024 compared to previous years throughout North and Central India.

Introduction: Electrographic seizures in neonates are commonly associated with poor neurodevelopmental outcomes. However, there is conflict in evidence whether control of electrographic seizures translate into improved neurodevelopmental outcome. We aimed to evaluate whether treating all electrographic seizures compared with treating clinical seizures leads to a better neurodevelopmental outcome at 18-24 months in neonates.
