Our observation has been that despite having clearly defined policy guidelines and laws, the implementation may not have followed suit. Unilateral spinal anesthesia (USpA) is a technique used to restrict the effect of the spinal block on the operative side. 10-15 degrees reverse Trendelenburg position has been used to control the height of the spinal block using hyperbaric drugs. We aimed to study the effect of the 10-degree reverse Trendelenburg position on the quality of block and hemodynamic stability in unilateral spinal anesthesia in this hospital-based, double-blind, randomized clinical trial.

Within 3 weeks, patient presented with ulcers in mouth, and blood picture confirmed thrombocytopenia. Rifampicin-induced thrombocytopenia was suspected and antitubercular treatment stopped.

Gynecomastia caused by ethionamide.

A 43 year old male patient, known case of multidrug resistant tuberculosis, was prescribed antitubercular drugs: kanamycin, levofloxacin, ethionamide, terizidone, Para-Aminosalicylate Sodium (PAS), pyrazinamide and pyridoxine. After 4 months of treatment, the patient developed a lump in the right breast which was approximately around 3 × 3 cm in size, tender on palpation, and not fixed to the underlying tissues. Ultrasonography (USG) revealed a hypoechoic mass of size 2.

Purpose: To report a rare seasonal occurrence of ocular caterpillar hair injuries (ophthalmia nodosa) in epidemic proportions in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India.

Methods: 136 patients with pain, redness and a foreign body sensation in their eyes were examined and treated for caterpillar hair injury in a short span of 6 months.

Results: The pattern of corneal abrasions was very useful in indicating the presence and location of the setae.
