The limitations observed in achieving the goal of a tobacco-free Himachal Pradesh have necessitated the need to contextualize the existing policy directives in tobacco reduction. Our observation has been that despite having clearly defined policy guidelines and laws, the implementation may not have followed suit. An analysis of the gaps observed had led us to develop an implementation interface framework involving stakeholders from multiple sectors.

Unilateral spinal anesthesia (USpA) is a technique used to restrict the effect of the spinal block on the operative side. 10-15 degrees reverse Trendelenburg position has been used to control the height of the spinal block using hyperbaric drugs. We aimed to study the effect of the 10-degree reverse Trendelenburg position on the quality of block and hemodynamic stability in unilateral spinal anesthesia in this hospital-based, double-blind, randomized clinical trial.

This paper describes a typical case of poikiloderma vasculare atrophicans (PVA) in a 48-year-old female. Histologically, the features were suggestive of PVA with the absence of Pautrier's microabscess or atypical lymphoid cells. The biopsy specimen was positive for cluster of differentiation (CD) 8 on immunohistochemical staining.

Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common problem for which women seek gynecological consultation. Endometrial aspiration cytology (EAC) is an acceptable and valuable diagnostic procedure for screening the endometrial status.
Materials And Methods: Endometrial aspiration using a menstrual regulation (MR) syringe and a 4 mm Karman's cannula was performed just prior to D and C in 100 women presenting with AUB.

A 32-year-old male patient was diagnosed as having pulmonary tuberculosis and put on category II antitubercular regime since he had a history of antituberculosis treatment 10 years ago. Within 3 weeks, patient presented with ulcers in mouth, and blood picture confirmed thrombocytopenia. Rifampicin-induced thrombocytopenia was suspected and antitubercular treatment stopped.

A 43 year old male patient, known case of multidrug resistant tuberculosis, was prescribed antitubercular drugs: kanamycin, levofloxacin, ethionamide, terizidone, Para-Aminosalicylate Sodium (PAS), pyrazinamide and pyridoxine. After 4 months of treatment, the patient developed a lump in the right breast which was approximately around 3 × 3 cm in size, tender on palpation, and not fixed to the underlying tissues. Ultrasonography (USG) revealed a hypoechoic mass of size 2.

Purpose: To report a rare seasonal occurrence of ocular caterpillar hair injuries (ophthalmia nodosa) in epidemic proportions in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India.
Methods: 136 patients with pain, redness and a foreign body sensation in their eyes were examined and treated for caterpillar hair injury in a short span of 6 months.
Results: The pattern of corneal abrasions was very useful in indicating the presence and location of the setae.
