Engineering Research Center of Photoenergy Utilization for Pollution Control and Carbon Reduction, Ministry of Education. State Key Laboratory of Green Pesticide, College of Chemistry, Central China Normal University, Wuhan, 430079, China.

The construction of atropisomers with 1,2-diaxes, while maintaining high enantiocontrol, presents a significant challenge due to the dynamic nature of steric hindrance at ortho-aryl substituents. Although various catalytic asymmetric methods have been developed for accessing axially chiral arylpyrroles, the synthesis of axially chiral arylpyrroles with 1,2-diaxes in a catalytic asymmetric manner has remained rare. Herein, the authors report the synthesis of diverse axially chiral arylpyrroles with 1,2-diaxes, and C-C and C-N axes through copper-catalysed asymmetirc [4 + 1] annulation of yne-allylic esters with arylamines via a remote stereocontrol strategy.

Forest carbon stocks and sinks (CSSs) have been widely estimated using climate classification tables and linear regression (LR) models with common independent variables (IVs) such as the average diameter at breast height (DBH) of stems and root shoot ratio. However, this approach is relatively ineffective when the explanatory power of IVs is lower than that of unobservable variables. Various environmental and anthropogenic factors affect target variables that cause the correlation between them to be chaotic.

School of Civil Engineering, Hunan University of Technology, Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, PR China; School of Power and Mechanical Engineering, Wuhan University, Wuhan, Hubei Province, PR China. Electronic address:

In the present work, a delicate CFD research of a multi-street canyon model with varying thermal stratifications and non-uniformities of buildings was conducted to investigate the street ventilation and pollutant dispersion between the compact urban blocks. Non-isothermal turbulent wind flow, temperature field and pollutant dispersion in a two-dimensional computational domain were solved by the Renormalization Group (RNG) k-ε turbulence model along with the enhanced wall treatment. Present numerical results indicated that the variation of ground heating intensity has a significant influence on the airflow pattern in the step-down case, and the distribution of pollutants in the street canyons mainly depends on the variation of the upper clockwise vortex.

In the practice of forensic pathology, fat embolism is one of the common causes of death, which can be divided into two categories: traumatic and non-traumatic. Non-traumatic fat embolism refers to the blockage of small blood vessels by fat droplets in the circulatory blood flow caused by non-traumatic factors such as underlying diseases, stress, poisoning and lipid metabolism disorders. At present, it is believed that the production of non-traumatic fat embolism is related to the disturbance of lipid metabolism, C-reactive protein-related cascade reaction, the agglutination of chylomicron and very low-density lipoprotein.

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death among gynecologic cancer patients. Although platinum-based chemotherapy as a frontline treatment for ovarian cancer has been widely used in clinical settings, its clinical efficacy is not satisfactory due to the resistance of ovarian cancer cells to apoptosis. Therefore, it is of great significance to induce non-apoptotic programed cell death patterns, such as paraptosis, in ovarian cancer.
