Hepatobiliary cancers (HBCs) pose a major global health challenge, with a lack of effective targeted biomarkers. Due to their complex anatomical locations, shared risk factors, and the limitations of targeted therapies, generalized treatment strategies are often used for gallbladder cancer (GBC), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC). This study aimed to identify specific transcriptomic signatures in GBC, HCC, and ICC.

Background: The Androgen Receptor (AR) has emerged as an endocrine therapy target in Breast Cancer, exhibiting up to 80% expression in clinical cases. AR-V7, a constitutively activated splice variant of AR with a truncated ligand-binding domain (LBD), demonstrates ligand-independent transcriptional activity and resistance to nonsteroidal antiandrogens like Bicalutamide or Enzalutamide, targeting the LBD. In metastatic prostate cancer, elevated AR-V7 levels lead to therapeutic resistance and increased metastasis.

Primary treatment with brachytherapy for oral cancer is uncommon in large malignant lesions; however, it is preferred by radiation oncologists for initial and smaller-sized lesions in compromised anatomical locations. The purpose of this report is to introduce and discuss the fabrication of a customized brachytherapy applicator for a case of well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the oral commissures using a radiotherapy thermoplastic mold (RTM). The RTM was molded into the shape of tongs and two acrylic wings were attached to these customized tongs to secure five high-dose radiotherapy catheter tubes.

Acute leukemia is characterized by the swift proliferation of immature white blood cells (WBC) in the blood and bone marrow. It is categorized into acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), depending on whether the cell-line origin is lymphoid or myeloid, respectively. Deep learning (DL) and artificial intelligence (AI) are revolutionizing medical sciences by assisting clinicians with rapid illness identification, reducing workload, and enhancing diagnostic accuracy.

Statement Of Problem: Mandibular guidance therapy is the preferred treatment for patients with segmental mandibulectomy after oncological surgeries. Clinicians face difficulty in decision making and delivering appropriate prosthetic treatment for the rehabilitation of these patients because of the lack of published information.
Purpose: The purpose of this retrospective analysis was to evaluate the factors associated with mandibular deviation and to introduce a classification system of mandibular deviation and prosthetic guidelines for rehabilitating patients with segmental mandibulectomy using a mandibular guidance appliance (MGA).

Background: Anti-cancer drugs, particularly platinum-based chemotherapy drugs, have been showing ocular adverse events (OAEs) in patients undergoing chemotherapy, which is concerning due to the potential impact on patient's quality of life and the ability to continue effective cancer treatment.
Research Design And Methods: A retrospective case/non-case study was conducted using spontaneous reports on OAEs by platins from the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database. A disproportionality analysis was performed by calculating the Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR), Reporting Odds Ratio (ROR), and the Information Component (IC) to identify OAE signals for platinum-based chemotherapy drugs.

Nanohybrid based non-invasive biosensing platforms are emerging as promising alternatives to detect biomarkers in complex and diverse bio-fluids toward ultrasensitive point-of-care diagnostics. Herein, we report the development of a highly sensitive, facile, non-invasive, label free, affordable, and innovative electrochemical screen printed immunosensor for identifying CYFRA 21-1, an established and crucial biomarker for oral cancer. Until now, no work has been reported utilizing a titanium carbide TiC MXene nanosheet and L-cysteine (L-Cyst) functionalized magnetite nanoparticle (MNPs) nanohybrid based immunosensor for electrochemical detection of CYFRA 21-1.

QDs are semiconductor nanocrystalline materials with distinct optical and electronic characteristics due to their microscopic size and quantum mechanical properties. They are often composed of materials such as cadmium selenide (CdSe), cadmium telluride (CdTe), or indium phosphide (InP) and are typically in the size range of 2 to 10 nanometers in diameter. These tiny particles are used in various scientific and technological applications.

Background: The aggressive, genetically diverse group of malignant illnesses known as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is characterized by clonally related myeloblast invasion of the bone marrow, blood, and other organs. The treatment regimen plays a crucial role in the management of AML, and it is associated with poor overall survival and enhanced risk of relapse. Induction therapy with a 7+3 DA regimen (daunorubicin + ara-C) has been the treatment of choice for young and fit patients.

Debabrata BarmonOvarian cancer is the sixth most common cancer in women worldwide. Patients with ovarian carcinoma mostly present at an advanced stage with serous type of epithelial ovarian cancers, which is the most lethal of all pelvic malignancies. This study aims to critically analyze high-grade serous epithelial ovarian carcinomas in women from the Northeastern region of India and compare our data with Western literature to modify treatment strategies and improve survival outcomes.

Ewing's sarcoma (ES) is a malignant small round cell neuroectodermal tumour primarily affecting children in the first and second decade of life. Since ES is difficult to control, early diagnosis is crucial, and the treatment requires a multimodality approach constituting chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. Here, we present a case of ES of orbit in a 17-year-old female diagnosed in 2021.

Although primary vulvovaginal reconstruction following vulvectomy has a significant chance of improving patient outcomes, flap reconstruction is not a recognised component of the accepted standard of care for vulvar cancer. We provide a case of a patient who underwent successful vulvar reconstruction using the extrapelvic vertical rectus abdominis myocutaneous (VRAM) flap. This musculocutaneous flap offers adequate coverage and bulk to the perineal defect after excision in post-irradiated vulvar cancer.

Gutka, a form of smokeless tobacco, is widely used in the Indian subcontinent and in other regions of South Asia. Smokeless tobacco exposure is most likely to increase the incidence of oral cancer in the Indian population, and metabolic changes are a hallmark of cancer. The development of biomarkers for early detection and better prevention measures for smokeless tobacco users at risk of oral cancer can be aided by studying urinary metabolomics and offering insight into altered metabolic profiles.

Unlabelled: Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) is one of the leading cancers in India's north-eastern (NE) region affecting a section of the population each year. A proportion of the NPC cases are observed to recur even after therapy, indicating the involvement of other factors. We aimed to explore the NPC and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) burden in the NE region and investigate the prognostic factors for the NPC patients' poor survival and recurrence.

Background And Objective: The spread of coronavirus has been challenging for the healthcare system's proper management and diagnosis during the rapid spread and control of the infection. Real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), though considered the standard testing measure, has low sensitivity and is time-consuming, which restricts the fast screening of individuals. Therefore, computer tomography (CT) is used to complement the traditional approaches and provide fast and effective screening over other diagnostic methods.

Head and neck cancer (HNC) patients undergoing curative radiotherapy (RT) are at risk of malnutrition due to disease process as well as effects of therapy. Identifying the nutritional status of these patients at the earliest, helps to introduce adequate and timely interventions that can improve compliance and outcomes of treatment. Various tools for nutritional assessment in cancer patients have been proposed.
