Objective: To study the frequency and diversity of fungi involved in onychomycosis.

Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted from February 2018 to February 2019 at the Department of Microbiology, Basic Medical Sciences Institute, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Karachi, and the University of Karachi. Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS) is an autoimmune-mediated neurological disorder that manifests as muscle fatigue, diminished tendon reflexes, with symptoms of cholinergic overactivity. It can be associated with certain neoplastic conditions, the most common being small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). The basic pathophysiology involved is antibody-mediated targeting of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCC), which decreases the release of acetylcholine in the synaptic junction.

Multiple myeloma is a neoplasm described as an abnormal growth of plasma cells that outnumbers the other normal hematopoietic cells inside the bone marrow. Gorham-Stout syndrome (GSS) is a rare disorder of complete bone resorption, characterized by lymphangiomatosis and angiomatosis of bone, with only around 200 cases reported from around the world till date. The diagnosis is made on clinical, radiological, and histopathological findings and exclusion of other common conditions, and treatment is based on the physician's judgment and tailored to the needs of the individual. With the etiology unknown, diagnosis mostly of exclusion, an unpredictable prognosis, and no standardized treatment formed, the disease poses a challenge to physicians in appropriately diagnosing and managing the patient.

Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is defined by the presence of a short PR interval, delta waves on the electrocardiogram (EKG), and symptomatic tachycardia. We present a case of 34 years old male harboring a rare foreign body at an unusual abode with untoward consequences, after a motorbike accident. This resulted in lodging of a broken piece of aluminum alloy clutch lever, in the right submandibular region, with rounded blunt end medially deep in the region, abutting the Wharton's duct. Mechanism of injury, delayed consequences and management are discussed.
