Background: Atherosclerosis (AS) is increasingly recognized as a chronic inflammatory disease that significantly compromises vascular health and acts as a major contributor to cardiovascular diseases. Advancements in lipidomics and metabolomics have unveiled the complex role of fatty acid metabolism (FAM) in both healthy and pathological states. However, the specific roles of fatty acid metabolism-related genes (FAMGs) in shaping therapeutic approaches, especially in AS, remain largely unexplored and are a subject of ongoing research.

Thyroid diseases are increasingly prevalent, posing significant challenges to patients' quality of life and placing substantial financial burdens on families and society. Despite these impacts, the underlying pathophysiology of many thyroid conditions remains poorly understood, complicating efforts in treatment, management, and prevention. Observational studies can identify associations between exposure variables and disease; however, they often struggle to account for confounding factors and reverse causation.

Sepsis, characterized as a systemic inflammatory response triggered by pathogen invasion, represents a continuum that may progress from mild systemic infection to severe sepsis, potentially culminating in septic shock and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. A pivotal element in the pathogenesis and progression of sepsis involves the significant disruption of oncological metabolic networks, where cells within the pathological milieu exhibit metabolic functions that diverge from their healthy counterparts. Among these, purine metabolism plays a crucial role in nucleic acid synthesis.

Background: Nonspecific Orbital Inflammation (NSOI) remains a perplexing enigma among proliferative inflammatory disorders. Its etiology is idiopathic, characterized by distinctive and polymorphous lymphoid infiltration within the orbital region. Preliminary investigations suggest that PALMD localizes within the cytosol, potentially playing a crucial role in cellular processes, including plasma membrane dynamics and myogenic differentiation.

As a treatment for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), which is common and fatal, mitophagy is a conserved cellular mechanism that selectively removes damaged mitochondria and is crucial for cellular homeostasis. While tumor development and resistance to anticancer therapies are related to ESCC, their role in ESCC remains unclear. Here, we investigated the relationship between mitophagy-related genes (MRGs) and ESCC to provide novel insights into the role of mitophagy in ESCC prognosis and diagnosis prediction.

Introduction: Through methodological quality assessment, this paper summarized the report quality and evidence level of systematic reviews (SRs)/meta-analyses (MAs) of acupuncture and its related treatment of female urinary incontinence (UI).
Evidence Acquisition: We conducted a comprehensive search in four internationally recognized databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library) for SRs/MAs pertaining to the treatment of female UI using acupuncture and its related therapies. We evaluated the methodological quality of the SRs/MAs using the "Assessing the Methodological Quality of Systematic Reviews 2" (AMSTAR-2) tool, assessed the quality of evidence using the "Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation" (GRADE) system, and evaluated the reporting quality of the SRs/MAs using the "Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020" (PRISMA-2020) guidelines.
Background: Asthma, a prevalent chronic inflammatory disorder, is shaped by a multifaceted interplay between genetic susceptibilities and environmental exposures. Despite strides in deciphering its pathophysiological landscape, the intricate molecular underpinnings of asthma remain elusive. The focus has increasingly shifted toward the metabolic aberrations accompanying asthma, particularly within the domain of pyrimidine metabolism (PyM)-a critical pathway in nucleotide synthesis and degradation.

Idiopathic orbital inflammation, formerly known as NSOI (nonspecific orbital inflammation), is characterized as a spectrum disorder distinguished by the polymorphic infiltration of lymphoid tissue, presenting a complex and poorly understood etiology. Recent advancements have shed light on the HLF (Human lactoferrin), proposing its critical involvement in the regulation of hematopoiesis and the maintenance of innate mucosal immunity. This revelation has generated significant interest in exploring HLF's utility as a biomarker for NSOI, despite the existing gaps in our understanding of its biosynthetic pathways and operational mechanisms.

Iron metabolism plays an important role in insulin resistance, and the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index has been proposed in recent years as a more accessible and cost-effective marker for insulin resistance. This study aims to evaluate the association between iron metabolism markers, including ferritin (FER), transferrin (TRF), and transferrin receptor (TFR), and the TyG index. A total of 6524 Chinese individuals aged between 18 and 75 years were included in this study.

TNFAIP8 family molecules have been recognized for their involvement in the progression of tumors across a range of cancer types. Emerging experimental data suggests a role for certain TNFAIP8 family molecules in the development of glioma. Nonetheless, the comprehensive understanding of the genomic alterations, prognostic significance, and immunological profiles of TNFAIP8 family molecules in glioma remains incomplete.

This study targeted to explore circUQCRC2's role and mechanism in childhood asthma. A mouse model of ovalbumin-induced asthma was established to evaluate the effects of circUQCRC2 on childhood asthma in terms of oxidative stress, inflammation, and collagen deposition. The effects of circUQCRC2 on platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB)-induced smooth muscle cells (SMCs) were evaluated, the downstream mRNA of miRNA and its associated pathways were predicted and validated, and their effects on asthmatic mice were evaluated.
