For environmental remediation, it is significant to design membranes with good mechanical properties and excellent photocatalytic activity. In this work, RGO/TiO membranes with heterogeneous structures and good photocatalytic efficiency were synthesized using the method of electrospinning combined with a thermal treatment process. In the binary nanocomposites, RGO was tightly adhered to TiO fibers and by simply adjusting the loading of RGO, the strength and modulus of the fibrous membranes were improved.

Based on the unique perspective of local environmental regulations promulgated in Chinese prefecture-level cities from 2000 to 2018, this paper examines the impact of urban environmental legislation on green total factor energy efficiency (GTFEE). The results show that implementing environmental legislation significantly improves local GTFEE, with comprehensive protection regulations contributing to local energy efficiency improvements, while the impact of pollution prevention regulations is insignificant. This conclusion remains robust to multiple scenarios.

Heterostructures exhibit considerable potential in the field of energy conversion due to their excellent interfacial charge states in tuning the electronic properties of different components to promote catalytic activity. However, the rational preparation of heterostructures with highly active heterosurfaces remains a challenge because of the difficulty in component tuning, morphology control, and active site determination. Herein, a novel heterostructure based on a combination of RuMo nanoalloys and hexagonal N-doped carbon nanosheets is designed and synthesized.

B7H4 is a member of the B7 family, which is expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and which negatively regulates the immune response of T cells through the inhibition of their proliferation, cytokine production, and cell cycle progression. Acyl-CoA thioesterase 4 (ACOT4) is an isoform of the ACOTs family that catalyzes the hydrolysis of fatty acyl-CoA to CoA-SH and free fatty acids. An abnormal metabolism of lipids and fatty acids is observed during tumor progression.

The imbalance of immune status in cancer microenvironment plays an important role in the development and progression of cancer. Immunotherapy based on this has become an important field of cancer research in recent years. Many studies on long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in cancer have focus on its regulation in cancer development and metastasis.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of stenting combined with radioactive iodine-125 seed strands following chemoembolization for the treatment of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and inferior vena cava (IVC) obstruction. A retrospective analysis was conducted of 52 hepatocellular carcinoma patients with IVC obstruction. All patients received chemoembolization of tumor-supplying arteries and IVC stents, and 18 patients additionally received iodine-125 seed strands, which were fixed to the stents.

The expression pattern of Sohlh1 (spermatogenesis and oogenesis specific basic helix-loop-helix 1) and Sohlh2 in mice has been reported in previous studies. Sohlh1 and Sohlh2 are specifically expressed in spermatogonia, prespermatogonia in male mice and oocytes of primordial and primary follicles in female mice. In this report, we studied the expression pattern of Sohlh1 and Sohlh2 in human adult tissues.

Aim: The aim of this paper was to investigate the effect of non-surgical internal intestinal splinting using an ileus tube under X-ray guidance.
Methods: Sixteen patients with recurrent postoperative adhesive small bowel obstruction (SBO) received internal splinting using intubation of a 300 cm long ileus tube. Under X-ray guidance, the tube was advanced through nose, 10 cm beyond the jejunal ligament of Treitz.

This study describes clinical experience and curative effect of radiophotographically controlled nasointestinal intubation in the treatment of small intestine arrangement in recurrent postoperative adhesive ileus. A 300-cm-long nasointestinal tube was installed into the jejunum through the nasal cavity under radiophotographic observation in 25 patients with recurrent postoperative adhesive ileus. The tube was advanced into the ileum by enterokinesia to relieve adhesive ileus and conduct small bowel arrangement.

Gouty arthritis is characterized by inflammation induced by monosodium urate (MSU) crystal deposition, which is resulted by an increase of serum urate concentration. The management of gout, especially the recurrent acute attacks of chronic gouty arthritis, is still a problem to be resolved. In this study, we aimed to develop the preventive and therapeutic effect of resveratrol on gouty arthritis.

RunX2 has been identified to crucially regulate the osteolysis in giant cell tumor of bone. MiR-30a is an intronic miRNA identified as tumor suppressor, but little is known about its role in giant tumor cell of bone. In our research, we reported miR-30a was down-regulated in GCT whereas RunX2 was highly expressed.

Parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP) has been identified to play a crucial role in osteolysis formation and stromal cell (GCTSC) proliferation in giant cell tumor (GCT). MiR-126-5p is an intronic miRNA identified as tumor suppressor in many tumors, but its role in GCT is poorly understood. We found that miR-126-5p was decreased in GCT and could directly regulate PTHrP expression.

Giant cell tumor (GCT) of bone is an aggressive skeletal tumor characterized by localized bone resorption. Matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP-13) is the principal proteinase expressed by the stromal cells of GCT (GCTSCs) and also considered to play a crucial role in formation of the osteolytic lesion in GCT. However, the exact mechanism of the regulation of MMP-13 expression in GCTSCs was unknown.

MYH is an important enzyme in combating DNA oxidative stress in the occurrence and development of various types of tumors. To investigate the correlation between expression of the DNA repair enzyme MYH in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and 8-oxoguanine (8-oxoG) oxidative damage, as well as the clinical significance of altered MYH expression, tissues from 175 esophageal carcinoma cases were investigated in the present study. MYH expression and 8-oxoG oxidative damage in squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent normal tissue were assessed by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.

Objective: To approach to recognition of links between the brain and meridians at the early stage of formation of TCM theory.
Methods: The relative papers in the Huangdi's Internal Classic were analyzed, compared, induced and synthesized, attaining the recognition of links between the brain and meridians.
Results: In the Huangdi's Internal Classic, it is indicated that the main meridians directly connected with the brain have The Foot-Yangming, The Foot-Taiyang Channels, and The Governor and The Qiao Vessels; the eye system, the vertex, Fengfu (GV 16) and the jaw are the parts of the meridians passing in and out the brain; in the brain there are some pathways of meridians.
