Purpose: The purpose of this study was to detect the distribution of different lectin receptors in primary cancer cells as well as in the case of metastasis, as these biomolecules can potentially predict cancer development in certain tissues and systems.
Methods: To detect lectin receptors in tumors, the authors used conjugates of lectins purified by affinity chromatography with peroxidase, and studied their localization in paraffin sections of 12 cases of primary cancer and 33 of its metastases.
Result: In primary cancers and their metastases, there is a distinct mosaicity in the histotopography of individual lectins, especially peanut and soybean lectin.
Objective: Aim: To study the spectrum, frequency of isolation and level of colonization of dental biofilm with microorganisms in generalized periodontitis against the background of different body reactivity.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: 216 people with the diagnosis of generalized periodontitis. Depending on the state of reactivity of the organism, the patients were divided into 3 groups: with normo-, hyper- and with hyporeaction.
Background: Colon cancer is a global health concern, ranking fifth in both new diagnoses and deaths among tumors worldwide. Surgical intervention remains the primary treatment for localized cases, with a historical evolution marked by a focus on short-term outcomes. While Japan pioneered radical tumor removal with a systematic categorization of lymph nodes (D1, D2, D3), the dissemination of Japanese practices to the West was delayed until 90th of last century.

Neurological disorders during pregnancy are a substantial threat to women's health, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Furthermore, a critical shortage of mental health workers and neurologists exacerbates the already pressing issue, where a lack of coordination of respective healthcare among multidisciplinary teams involved in managing these conditions perpetuates the current state of affairs. Financial restrictions and societal stigmas associated with neurological disorders in pregnancy amplify the situation.

In recent years, attention of experts has been attracted to remodeling of the brains' extracellular matrix in connection with analysis of alterations' causes of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), development of neuroinflammation and neovasculogenesis, as well as the possibility of regeneration of nervous tissue in cerebrovascular pathology. The review discusses the molecular mechanisms of increasing BBB permeability in stroke associated with the interaction of structural elements of the capillary wall (endothelium and pericytes), glial cells and perivascular leukocytes. The role of brain extracellular matrix remodeling in the pathogenesis of neuroinflammation and participation of pericytes in this process are discussed.
