Background: Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that originates from the endometrium and is more common in developed countries and its incidence is increasing day by day in developing countries. The most commonly prescribed chemotherapeutic drugs limit their use due to serious side effects and the development of drug resistance. For this reason, interest in new active ingredients obtained from natural products is increasing.

Objective: Cervical cancer has a very important place in female infertility and ranks fourth among cancers affecting women. Curcumin (CUR) is closely associated with the expression and activity of various regulatory proteins. It is also known that curcumin has preventive and therapeutic effects on various types of cancer.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to assess the impact of aortic angulation (AA) on periprocedural and in-hospital complications as well as mortality of patients undergoing Evolut™ R valve implantation.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 264 patients who underwent transfemoral-approach transcatheter aortic valve replacement with self-expandable valve at our hospital between August 2015 and August 2022. These patients underwent multislice computer tomography scans to evaluate AA.
Purpose: We aimed to reveal the effects of rosmarinic acid (RA), which has come to the forefront with its antitumor and antioxidant properties in many studies recently in the ovarian adenocarcinoma cell line, on the epidermal growth factor receptor (EFGR) signaling pathway in the presence of doxorubicin (DOX).
Methods: Ovarian adenocarcinoma cell line (OVCAR3) and human skin keratinocyte cell line human skin keratinocyte cell line (HaCaT) were used as control. (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) test was applied to determine the effect of RA and DOX on the proliferation of OVCAR3 and HaCaT cells.
Objective The prognostic nutritional index (PNI) is a practical, applicable, prognostic scoring system. However, its clinical significance in unprotected left main coronary artery (ULMCA) patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has not yet been clarified. This study aimed to examine the relationship between malnutrition as assessed by PNI and major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in ULMCA patients undergoing PCI.

Objective: Excessive hypertensive response to exercise testing is associated with adverse cardiovascular events such as left ventricular hypertrophy and atrial fibrillation (AF). In this study, we examined the relationship between electromechanical delay and excessive hypertensive response to exercise testing.
Methods: Twenty-five people who had a hypertensive response to the exercise stress test and 28 people who were similar in age and gender with a normal blood pressure response in the exercise stress test as the control group were included in the study.

Background: It is unclear whether warfarin treatment with high time in therapeutic range (TTR) is as effective and safe as non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs). It is crucial to compare warfarin with effective TTR and NOACs to predict long-term adverse events in patients with atrial fibrillation.
Aims: We aimed to compare the long-term follow-up results of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) who use vitamin K antagonists (VKAs) with effective TTR and NOACs.

Background: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is currently the treatment of choice for the majority of patients at moderate or high surgical risk. However, some complications occur frequently with this procedure. In this study, we aimed to assess whether the cusp-overlap view (COP) technique may be associated with a reduced incidence of some of these complications compared with the classical three-cusp view (TCV) technique.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of oral anticoagulant drugs and time in therapeutic range in patients receiving warfarin in addition to the epi-demiological trial of non-valvular atrial fibrillation previously conducted in Turkey (The Atrial Fibrillation: Epidemiological Registry trial). Furthermore, the prevalence of major adverse events and mortality rates of the patients were evaluated during the long-term follow-up period.
Methods: We created a national data registry for non-valvular atrial fibrillation patients, reflecting all geographic regions by population density.

Background: The incidence of postoperative complications following cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) procedures in patients treated with antithrombotic drugs has not been studied sufficiently. Here we present a comparison of complications after CIED implantations.
Methods: Using an observational study design, the study included 1807 patients with a taking antiplatelet drugs (n: 1601), nonvitamin K anticoagulants (NOAC) (n: 136), and warfarin (n: 70) undergoing CIED surgery.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been an important global interest that affected millions of people, and it requires a deep investigation of the disease immunology for developing further therapeutic applications. Adoptive T cell therapy promises to address T cell-dependent immune dysregulation in COVID-19 patients by the generation of specific T cell clones against virus-specific antigens. Additionally, targeting B cell-dependent protection through COVID-19 vaccines, which have been developed in the recent year, possessed sufficient prevention for spreading the virus, since the cases and deaths related to COVID-19 tend to decrease after the vaccination.
