Evaluation of endovascular treatment of chronic limb-threatening ischemia for patients in the PLAN gray zone.

Objective: To compare the results of endovascular therapy for chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) in patients categorized under the gray and yellow zones of the patient risk, limb severity, and anatomic pattern (PLAN) concept over a 2-year follow-up period.

Methods: Patients who underwent endovascular therapy for peripheral artery disease and presented with CLTI from February 2017 to February 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. The patients were grouped into yellow and gray zones based on the PLAN concept.

Evaluation of Patients with COVID-19 Followed Up in Intensive Care Units in the Second Year of the Pandemic: A Multicenter Point Prevalence Study.

Only a few subacute thyroiditis (SAT) cases secondary to hypocortisolemia developed after successfully treating Cushing's disease (CD) have been reported. In this report, we present an SAT case, which developed immediately after discontinuation of steroid treatment for hypocortisolemia after the successful treatment of CD. A 54-year-old female patient who had recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus was admitted to our center with complaints of proximal myopathy and obesity.

Selective Transarterial Embolization for Intractable Hematuria Due to Bladder Carcinomas: A Single-Center Experience.

Objective: Malignant bladder neoplasms can cause life-threatening persistent hematuria. Selective transarterial embolization is an effective way to achieve hemostasis in such patients. The purpose of our study is to share our experience in these patients and to evaluate the short- and long-term effectiveness of this procedure.

Background And Objectives: Idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSHL) is a rapid loss of hearing, exceeding 30 dB in at least 3 consecutive frequencies within 3 days, without any identifiable cause despite thorough investigations. Currently, the etiology and pathogenesis of ISSHL have not been fully elucidated. This study aimed to assess the size of the cochlear nerve in patients with ISSHL and explore its relationship with pretreatment audiograms and treatment response.

Expression of nectin-4 in prostate cancer.

Objective: Nectin-4 is a transmembrane protein belonging to the nectin family of immunoglobulin-like molecules which is found in the placenta and trachea under physiological conditions and its expression has been shown in many cancer types. We aimed to investigate for the 1 time nectin-4 expression in human prostate cancer tissues.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the prostate pathology specimens of 82 patients who underwent initial transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy or transurethral prostate resection and were found to have atypical small acinar proliferation (ASAP) and incidentally prostate cancer.

Clinical Significance of Pneumocephalus in Pediatric Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.

Objectives: Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) comprises most (70%-90%) of all pediatric head trauma cases seeking emergency care. Although most mTBI cases have normal initial head computed tomography scan, a considerable portion of the cases have intracranial imaging abnormalities on computed tomography scan. Whereas other intracranial pathological findings have been extensively studied, little is known about the clinical significance of pneumocephalus in pediatric mTBI.

Background: Routine screening for hereditary disorders in newborns includes screening for treatable metabolic and endocrine disorders, such as biotidinase deficiency, galactosemia, maple syrup urine disease, hypothyroidism, and cystic fibrosis. Diagnostic delay in psoriatic arthritis: insights from a nationwide multicenter study.

This study aimed to investigate the duration of diagnostic delay in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and identify potential contributing factors using a comprehensive, population-based approach. Data were obtained from the Turkish League Against Rheumatism (TLAR)-Network, involving patients who met the CASPAR criteria. Diagnostic delay was defined as time interval from symptom onset to PsA diagnosis, categorized as ≤ 2 years and > 2 years.

Prognostic significance of medical therapy in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.

Aims: The use of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) among patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) remains suboptimal. The SMYRNA study aims to identify the clinical factors for the non-use of GDMT and to determine the prognostic significance of GDMT in patients with HFrEF in a real-life setting.

Methods And Results: The SMYRNA study is a prospective, multicentre, and observational study that included outpatients with HFrEF.

Prevalence and risk factors of psychological symptoms and quality of life in COVID-19 survivors: A cross-sectional study of three different populations.

Aim: Studies of the effects of COVID-19, especially post-acute COVID-19 syndrome, on psychological health in non-severe cases are limited. We aimed to evaluate the prevalence and associated risk factors of psychological symptoms, and quality-of-life in three groups of outpatients, hospitalized and intensive care patients.

Methods: A total 276 patients, previously confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 infection, attending the COVID-19 follow-up outpatient clinic from December 2020 to July 2021 were interviewed face-to-face.
