Background And Aim: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common lung cancer found in elderly patients. Aging and chronic inflammation are related to its pathogenesis. Functional status, lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio describe a chronic inflammation and correlate to the survival of older adults with advanced-stage (IIIB-IV) NSCLC.

Objective: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) is the most common malignancy occurring in children. Copy number alterations (CNA) like PAX5, CDKN2A/2B, PAR1 Region, ETV6, IKZF1, BTG1, and RB1 gene deletion are important genetic events that define and prognosticate B-cell ALL. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate associations of CNA with induction phase remission status in childhood B-cell ALL.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the associations of CD8+, PARP, and EGFR expressions with two-year survival in patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted in a national cancer center. All patients aged 18 years diagnosed with TNBC (2013-2017) were included and followed for 24 months or until the patients were deceased.

This study aimed to quantitatively assess the radiation dose using XR-QA2 and the image quality of the dual-energy subtraction mammography technique on an in-house phantom. The analysis was carried out to investigate the effect of targets/filters on dose value and image quality using an in-house phantom made of PLA + as an object representing compressed breasts. All irradiation parameters were performed in the craniocaudal position with manual mode.

Background: Brain metastases are a common complication in a wide range of cancers but are ubiquitous among patients with lung cancer. Limited data are available on the survival of patients with lung cancer and brain metastases in Indonesia. In this study, we aimed to identify the factors that might contribute to and predict survival in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that resulted in brain metastases.

Introduction: Cachexia is prevalent in cancer and is associated with poorer prognosis. We aimed to investigate the association of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and vitamin D levels with cachexia in cancer patients. We also assessed the relationship between body composition profile and cachexia, IL-6, and vitamin D levels.

Background And Aim: Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) is an upper respiratory tract cancer prevalent in Southeast Asia and related to chronic EBV infection. microRNAs (miRNAs) regulate gene expression implicated in NPC's carcinogenesis. However, this circulating RNA molecule's role and clinical utility remain unknown.

Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is an advanced technique in radiation therapy delivery. IMRT depends on the accuracy of the multileaf collimator during treatment. Hence, the actual dose distribution can deviate from the treatment planning system's calculation.

Objective: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Indonesia, with Indonesia's breast cancer mortality rate being the highest among Southeast Asian countries. This study aims to evaluate the cost-effectiveness and budget impacts of adding trastuzumab to chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone for HER2-positive breast cancer patients in Indonesia.
Methods: We performed a Markov model-based economic evaluation to assess cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and budget impact.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a deadly cancer with a rising incidence in the last 20 years. Most patients are diagnosed late when curative treatment is no longer feasible. With the background of chronic liver disease in most patients, the management of HCC becomes more complicated, in which well-preserved liver function is a prerequisite for locoregional or systemic therapies.

Background: MMP-9 plays a significant role in invasion and migration of tumor cells and metastasis. A combination MMP-9 biomarker with HER2 and Ki-67 is expected to provide more specificity in prognosis for better breast cancer (BC) treatment options.
Methods: A retrospective cohort of 34 patients with HER2 enriched breast cancer were studied from January 2016 until December 2020.

Background: Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) generally only come for treatment when cancer has reached an advanced stage, with very limited treatment options. There has not been an accurate predictor marker to be able to identify which group of patients may have better survival. This study wanted to analyze the role of the inflammatory status indices as predictors of 1-year survival in patients with advanced HCC who did not undergo therapy.

Objective: The association between PD-1, PD-L1, and PD-L2 expression and prognosis has been extensively studied in various cancers but remained controversial in breast cancer. Besides, little is known about the prognostic value of PD-1, PD-L1, and PD-L2 upregulation or downregulation following systemic therapy (chemotherapy and hormonal therapy) in breast cancer. Therefore, we aim to investigate the change of PD-1, PD-L1, and PD-L2 expression in mRNA level after primary systemic therapy in breast cancer patients and its clinical implications.

Background: Tamoxifen (TAM) is a frequently used hormonal prodrug for patients with breast cancer that needs to be activated by cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) into Zusammen-endoxifen (Z-END).
Objective: The purpose of the study was to determine the association between CYP2D6*10 (c.100C>T) genotype and attainment of the plasma steady-state Z-END minimal threshold concentration (MTC) in Indonesian women with breast cancer.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the second most common cause of cancer-related death worldwide. This is due to the heterogeneity of the tumor biology and lack of curative treatment options. The most significant prognostic factor is detection at early stage and thus, surveillance strategies are of high importance.

Breast Cancer (BC) still interest to be discussed, comparison studies from several investigators still in controversial, especially on risk factors of BC, otherwise BC morbidity and mortality were stationary, infact, had a tendency increasing. Epidemiology studies on BC, daily observation for a long period explored that some Indonesian BC cases from different areas were young, plenty of the Indonesian BC cases were admission to hospital in a late stage (TNM III-IV). Western style of life influences on diet, cooking, breast feeding, smoking, etc.
