The antibacterial nanofibrous mat is crucial in biomedicine as it enhances infection control, expedites wound healing, and mitigates health hazards by decreasing antibiotic usage. A novel synergistic antibacterial and hydrophilic nanofibrous mat successfully fabricated by solution electrospinning from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) incorporated Croton bonplandianum Baill (CBB) leaves extract. Antioxidant-enriched leaf extract of the CBB plant was integrated with PVA in varying proportions of 30% (CBB-30), 40% (CBB-40), and 50% (CBB-50) to manufacture antibacterial nanofibrous mat.

Investigating the potential of novel data mining algorithms (DMAs) for modeling groundwater quality in coastal areas is an important requirement for groundwater resource management, especially in the coastal region of Bangladesh where groundwater is highly contaminated. In this work, the applicability of DMA, including Gaussian Process Regression (GPR), Bayesian Ridge Regression (BRR) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN), for predicting groundwater quality in coastal areas was investigated. The optuna-based optimized hyperparameter is proposed to improve the accuracy of the models, including optuna-GPR and optuna-BRR as benchmark models.

Portable electronic devices and electric cars use lithium-ion batteries, but clumping lithium alloys limit their lifespan. Due to their strong electronic conductivity, volumetric capacity, and high energy density, researchers are conducting research on electrochemical metal cells utilizing tellurium for high-performance batteries. Theoretically, lithium-tellurium batteries can improve energy densities three times more than lithium-ion batteries.

Breast cancer is one of the most basilisk cancers for women due to its high mortality rate which can be prevented drastically with early-stage detection. In this work, the adsorption mechanism of two volatile organic compounds that are present in the breath of breast cancer patients, 2-Methyloctane and 3, 3-Dimethylpentane, has been investigated on aluminum phosphide nanotubes (AlPNT) and gallium phosphide nanotubes (GaPNT) in order to understand their feasibility as sensor materials to diagnosis breast cancer at early stage. We have used the quantum mechanical approach by employing density functional theory using B3LYP-D3 hybrid potential for noncovalent interaction along with the LanL2DZ basis in the Gaussian 09 software package.
