To describe the distribution characteristics of alcohol consumption in adult twins in the Chinese National Twin Registry (CNTR), and further explore the influence of genetic factors on alcohol consumption in adult twins. The subjects of the study were twins registered by CNTR in 11 project areas across China from 2010 to 2018. A total of 56 966 twins (28 483 pairs) aged 18 years and above who answered questions about drinking behavior were included, and the random effect model was used to describe the population and regional distribution characteristics of alcohol consumption.

Introduction: This study introduces a novel method for developing an advanced exposure conceptual model tailored for health risk assessment, focusing on microenvironments.
Methods: The research was conducted at a major smelter in China to assess the health risks associated with trace metals (TMs) pollutants in the facility and the surrounding soil.
Results: Deterministic risk assessment indicated that cobalt, cadmium, antimony, manganese, arsenic, plumbum, and mercury (Co, Cd, Sb, Mn, As, Pb, and Hg) necessitated further evaluation through probabilistic risk assessment to assess potential health risks to residents.

However, behaviours, such as PA, occupy a portion of an individual's 24-h day. Thus, an increase in time for one behaviour takes away time from another.

Background: Emerging evidence supports the efficacy of mobile phone interventions for smoking cessation. However, behaviour changes of smokers who fail to reach abstinence and the related psychological mechanism are still understudied. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a behaviour change theory-based smoking cessation intervention delivered through personalised text messages from the perspective of smokers who fail to reach abstinence.

Objective: To investigate the contamination of 2-chloropropanol esters and 3-chloropropanol esters in commercial edible vegetable oils in Shandong Province, and to assess the dietary 3-chloropropanol esters exposure and the health risk of intaking 3-chloropropanol esters.
Methods: From 2016 to 2020, 406 individually packaged edible vegetable oils were collected from stores and farmers' markets in 16 prefecture-level cities in Shandong Province. According to the 2016 National Food Contamination and Harmful Factors Risk Monitoring Manual, using gas chromatography-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry detection, isotope internal standard method for quantification, laboratory determination of 2-chloropropanol ester and 3-chloropropanol in vegetable oil ester content.
