The treatment efficacy of 7.5% dapsone gel in papulopustular rosacea: a prospective study.

Introduction: Topical dapsone has a level A recommendation for the treatment of papulopustular rosacea; however, its treatment efficacy has not been studied previously. The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of topical 7.5% dapsone gel applied once daily at night in the treatment of papulopustular rosacea.

A cross sectional study evaluating the relationship of acne to androgenetic alopecia subtype and severity.

The circulating androgens have a role in the pathogenesis of both acne vulgaris and androgenetic alopecia; an association between these two have been found previously. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship of the severity of acne vulgaris lesions to the subtype of AGA; and to validate the relationship between severities of acne vulgaris and AGA. This study was conducted cross-sectionally at five different dermatology clinics.

The Difference Between SARS-CoV-2 Associated Telogen Effluvium and Telogen Effluvium Due to Other Causes.

Introduction: Telogen effluvium (TE) is a common type of non-cicatricial alopecia, and it is reported frequently in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Objectives: Herein, we aimed to examine the demographic, dermoscopic, and laboratory features of the patients with SARS-CoV-2 associated TE (CATE) and compare them with TE due to other causes (TEDOC) according to these features.

Methods: In this retrospective case-control study we evaluated the patients who were diagnosed with TE and were above 18 years of age between April and June 2022.

Skeletal Side Effects of Systemic Isotretinoin Treatment: Do They Depend on Age, Gender, Treatment Duration, Daily Dose and Isotretinoin-Naiveness?

Introduction: Systemic isotretinoin is the most effective treatment modality in acne vulgaris; however, both patients and physicians hesitate to use it due its side effects.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of fatigue, myalgia and low back pain during systemic isotretinoin treatment; and to determine their relationship with age, gender, treatment duration, daily isotretinoin dose and isotretinoin-naiveness of the patient.

Methods: This is a cross sectional study including the acne vulgaris patients, aged between 13 to 40 years, who have at least received one month of oral isotretinoin treatment.

Hidradenitis suppurativa on Facebook: thematic and content analyses of patient support group.

Online support groups present a sheltered and partially anonymous zone where patients can unload that which disturbs and preoccupies them. In this qualitative study, we explored the use of a Facebook support group for Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) patients, and analyzed the contents of shared posts. By evaluating the post's themes, we aim to contribute a deeper understanding of HS patients' needs and possible ways of engaging them.

We present the case of a 79-year-old patient with extensive metastatic malignant melanoma (MM) of the scalp. Cutaneous MM of the head and neck often presents a therapeutic challenge. Radical surgical procedures and conventional chemotherapy are often unfeasible and contraindicated because of the difficult anatomy, the extent of the tumour process, and systemic toxicity.
