Neurosarcoidosis as a rapidly progressive dementia associated with normal pressure hydrocephalus.

Neurosarcoidosis (NS) is a rare subtype of sarcoidosis with a poor prognosis and diverse clinical presentations that often poses a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. We describe the case of a 53-year-old male with an initial diagnosis of lingual sarcoidosis, who subsequently developed ataxia and rapidly progressive cognitive impairment. A lumbar puncture revealed hypoglycorrhachia, hyperproteinorrachia, lymphocytic pleocytosis, and elevated IL-6 levels (600 pg/ml).

The tale of TILs in breast cancer: A report from The International Immuno-Oncology Biomarker Working Group.

The advent of immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) in modern oncology has significantly improved survival in several cancer settings. A subgroup of women with breast cancer (BC) has immunogenic infiltration of lymphocytes with expression of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). These patients may potentially benefit from ICI targeting the programmed death 1 (PD-1)/PD-L1 signaling axis.

[Minimally invasive resection of spinal synovial cysts: Technical note].

Objective: To present the treatment algorithm, surgical technique, and results of a series of patients with spinal synovial cysts operated with minimally invasive techniques (MIS).

Introduction: Spinal synovial cysts originate from the dilation and potential rupture of the synovial sheath of a facet joint. Surgical resection is considered the treatment of choice in symptomatic patients.

The correlation between axillary status and several histological features of breast carcinomas has been well established, however stromal changes have rarely been analyzed. Detailed clinicopathological review of 1803 patients with infiltrating breast carcinoma was performed. Stromal myxoid changes (SMC), size (T2-T3: > 2 cm, T1c: 1-2 cm, T1 a-b: < 1cm), fibrotic focus, age, lymphovascular embolizations, tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL), multifocality, histological grade (G), estrogen receptors (ER), progesterone receptors (PR) and HER2 were semi-quantitated in two or three grades and correlated to axillary status.

Ultra-short topical treatment of pityriasis versicolor with 2.5% bifonazole cream.

The therapeutic efficacy of a preparation containing 2.5% bifonazole was investigated by comparing three different treatment modalities--A, B, and C. Group A used bifonazole only on Days 1, 2 and 3, and the Group C on Days 1, 3 and 5.
