Context: Robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) has become the standard surgical procedure for localized prostate-cancer (PCa). Nerve-sparing surgery (NSS) during RARP has been associated with improved erectile function and continence rates after surgery. As robotics are becoming more integrated into the medical field, robotic training is becoming more crucial in order to overcome the lack of experienced robotic surgeons. However, there are several obstacles facing the development of robotic training programs like the high cost of training and the increased operative time during the initial period of the learning curve, which, in turn increase the operative cost. Robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy is the most commonly performed robotic surgery.
