Introduction: Urachus carcinoma is a rare malignancy with an aggressive potential and a poor prognosis, and evidence is limited for its diagnosis and treatment.
Case Presentation: A 75-year-old man underwent fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography for staging prostate cancer, and a mass (standardized uptake value max 9.5) was observed on the outside of the urinary bladder dome.

Purpose: To investigate the predictive and prognostic value of the preoperative systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) in patients undergoing radical cystectomy (RC) for clinically non-metastatic urothelial cancer of the bladder (UCB).
Methods: Overall, 4,335 patients were included, and the cohort was stratified in two groups according to SII using an optimal cut-off determined by the Youden index. Uni- and multivariable logistic and Cox regression analyses were performed, and the discriminatory ability by adding SII to a reference model based on available clinicopathologic variables was assessed by area under receiver operating characteristics curves (AUC) and concordance-indices.

Background: To investigate the predictive and prognostic value of the preoperative modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS) in patients with urothelial carcinoma of the bladder (UCB) treated with radical cystectomy (RC).
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of an established multicenter database consisting of 4335 patients who were treated with RC±adjuvant chemotherapy for UCB between 1979 and 2012. The mGPS of each patient was calculated on the basis of preoperative serum C-reactive protein and albumin.
We report a patient with adrenal incidentaloma due to synchronous and isolated metastasis from lung cancer, which is a relatively rare condition. Close checkups for incidentaloma in oncologic patients are mandatory, leading to successful operation.

Staphylococci have been confirmed to form biofilms on various biomaterials. The purpose of this study was to investigate biofilm formation among methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolates from patients with urinary tract infection (UTI) and to assess the relationship between biofilm-forming capacities and virulence determinants/clinical background. Over a 12-year period from 1990 through 2001, a total of 109 MRSA isolates were collected from patients (one isolate per patient) with UTI at the urology ward of Okayama University Hospital.
