Free perforator flaps and pedicled perforator flaps are currently the most common methods used for repairing small areas of soft tissue defects in the distal lower limb.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was carried out on 124 patients with small soft tissue defects in the distal lower limb from January 2009 to December 2021.

Case Report: We present the successful management of the consequences of voluntary knife ingestion in a 24-year-old male with undocumented psychiatric disorders. The patient was admitted to the emergency department with a fistulized epigastric skin abscess, with the tip of a knife protruding from it. Background: With the rapid ageing of the population, injuries are increasingly threatening the health of elderly individuals. A comprehensive evaluation of the injury burden is important for selecting and formulating strategies for injury prevention.

Introduction: Costochondral grafting is well-known reconstructive option for the temporomandibular joint. In light of this tragedy and the increasing incidence and prevalence of mass shootings in America, it is important to examine how exposure to traumatic events (specifically mass shootings) affects the mental health of hospital physicians through the treatment of victims. This study sought to examine how witnessing mass shootings through the treatment of shooting victims psychologically affects physicians.

The goals of the present studies were to identify male and female mice with prior binge drinking experience that exhibited sensitivity and resilience to PS-enhanced drinking and then to test two target molecules (corticotropin releasing factor receptor 1 [CRF-R1] antagonist NBI-27914 [NBI] and G-protein coupled receptor 39 [GPR39] agonist TC-G 1008 [TC-G]) for their ability to selectively reduce PS-enhanced drinking.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) has demonstrated potential in promoting peripheral nerve regeneration. However, there is a limited and inconclusive study on the application of light-emitting diode (LED) for nerve injury repair.
