Current status of IBD and surgery of Crohn's disease in Thailand.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) consists of two diseases: ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD). The incidence of IBD is much higher in Western countries compared to Asian countries, especially in Thailand. The incidence of UC in Thailand is quite low and seems less aggressive than in Western countries.

Immediate aortic dissection after transcatheter aortic valve replacement: A case report and review of the literature.

-Aortic dissection of descending aorta was detected by intraoperative TEE in a case of 67-year-old man with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis after TAVR. -Transesophageal echocardiogram after TAVR procedure is helpful to detect this rare complication.

Ablative neurosurgery for movement disorders related to cerebral palsy.

This article aims to describe the roles, operative strategies and outcomes of neuroablative procedures in treatment of movement disorders related to cerebral palsy (CP). The authors reviewed relevant medical literatures concerning ablative neurosurgical procedures for CP. Neurosurgery is an appropriate option for treatment of intractable movement disorders in CP.

Therapeutic and survival outcomes following treatment of primary central nervous system lymphoma: a 12-year case study.

Aim: The study primarily aimed to investigate therapeutic and survival outcomes following definitive treatment of primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL).

Methods: All patients with histopathologically proven PCNSL at our institute between 1998 and 2009 were recruited. The collated data included demographic, laboratory, neuroimaging, therapeutic and survival aspects.
