Background: Patients with hemophilia (PWH) develop hemophilic arthropathy of the major joints due to recurrent hemarthrosis. This study retrospectively estimated the age at which PWH may expect to develop hemophilic arthropathy and undergo joint replacement surgery.

Research Design And Methods: Using retrospective data from PWH at a Czech orthopedic center, Kaplan Meier analyses were used to estimate the cumulative proportions of patients with hemophilic arthropathy and undergoing joint replacement surgery as a function of age.

It attempts to explain the difficulties associated with finding calls in clinical pharmacy and advanced pharmacy practice, and how to overcome them.

Potentially clinically significant drug-drug interactions in older patients admitted to the hospital: A cross-sectional study.

An international consensus list of potentially clinically significant drug-drug interactions (DDIs) in older people has been recently validated. Our objective was to describe the prevalence and characteristics of drug combinations potentially causing clinically significant DDIs identified in the medication history of older patients admitted to the hospital and the prevalence and characteristics of manifest DDIs-DDIs involved in adverse drug events present at hospital admission, DDIs that contributed to ADE-related hospital admissions, and DDIs involved in drug-related laboratory deviations. In clinical practice we have observed that the EMR injection solution containing hetastarch (HES) lead to selective increase of the neoplasms volume, facilitating their resection.
