Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate how cigarette smoking affects the surface roughness (R) and stainability of additively and subtractively manufactured resins.
Materials And Methods: Two additively manufactured definitive resins (Dentafab, DF and Formlabs, FL) and a subtractively manufactured resin nanoceramic (Cerasmart, CS) were used to fabricate 60 specimens (14 × 12 × 1 mm). After taking baseline R and color measurements (ΔE), they were divided into two groups (n = 10).

Objective: The aim of the current study was to examine possible associations between gingival thickness and other parameters, such as crown length and width, papilla height and patient's age and gender.
Overview: This cross-sectional study included 238 consecutive white Caucasian consecutive patients in all stages of orthodontic treatment (before, in-course, and after orthodontic treatment). Measurements of gingival thickness were carried out at both central mandibular incisors, mid-facially on the buccal aspect of each tooth, and 2 mm apically to the free gingival margin, with an Ultrasound device.

Introduction: Dental implants are routinely used to replace missing teeth. Therefore, the primary aim of the present study was to assess the single-unit implant failure rate over a period of seven years from 2015 to 2021, with a minimum of two years post-implant follow-up. The secondary aim was to identify the risk factors associated with implant failure using machine learning decision tree regression and Kaplan-Meier survival analyses.

Statement Of The Problem: Previous longitudinal studies have found that patients with shortened dental arches (SDA) have a higher risk of long-term tooth loss than complete dental arch (CDA). However, the difference between SDA and CDA concerning oral function has yet to be demonstrated.
Purpose: We aimed to clarify the influence of molar occlusal support on oral function in SDA and CDA participants cross-sectionally and longitudinally.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-associated mucormycosis of the maxilla emerged as a significant concern in India during the second wave of the pandemic, necessitating surgical interventions such as maxillectomy. This study investigated the quality of life following prosthodontic rehabilitation with interim obturators in patients who underwent bilateral total maxillectomy due to COVID-19-associated mucormycosis of the jaws.
Methods: The study was conducted using questionnaire-based interviews administered by a single investigator employing the Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) and Obturator Functioning Scale (OFS) questionnaires.

Background: With the advances in the adhesive science, several conservative treatment options such as non-retentive overlays have been suggested for endodontically treated posterior teeth. However, information is scarce regarding the fracture strength and adaptation of non-retentive overlays compared with endocrowns, and the effect of material type in this respect. Thus, this study aimed to assess the fracture strength and internal and marginal adaptation of lithium disilicate (LDS) and hybrid ceramic endocrowns and non-retentive overlays for endodontically treated molar teeth.

Purpose: The retention force of a realistic clasp is influenced by multiple, interrelated factors, which complicates the identification of the fundamental relationship between clasp geometry and retention force. While realistic clasps exhibit various shapes, they share basic geometric elements such as length, diameter, and curvature. Simpler geometries are often more conducive to identifying the underlying issues.

Objective: This study was aimed at assessing the effects of various finish line designs and cement gap thicknesses on the fracture resistance of gradient zirconia crowns.
Methods: Sixty crowns were fabricated on stainless-steel dies with yttria multi-layered (YML) zirconia and categorized into three primary groups according to finish line type (knife-edge, chamfer, and rounded shoulder). Each group was further classified into two subgroups (n = 10) according to cement space thickness (50 or 80 μm).
