Introduction: Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness, often progressing asymptomatically until significant vision loss occurs. Early detection is crucial for preventing irreversible damage. The pupillary light reflex (PLR) has proven useful in glaucoma diagnosis, and mobile technologies like the AI-based smartphone pupillometer (AI Pupillometer) offer a promising solution for accessible screening.

The widespread antibiotic resistance has called for alternative antimicrobial agents. Carbon nanomaterials, especially carbon quantum dots (CQDs), may be promising alternatives due to their desirable physicochemical properties and potential antimicrobial activity, but their antimicrobial mechanism remains to be investigated. In this study, nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (N-CQDs) were synthesized to inactivate antibiotic-resistant bacteria and treat bacterial keratitis.

Methods: Treatment naïve neovascular age related macular degeneration (n-AMD) patients with SMH were retrospectively analyzed. Patients received either innovator or biosimilar RBZ (3 loading doses followed by pro re nata regimen) and single injection of intravitreal CF.

A Survey of the Congenital Glaucoma Surgery Practice Patterns in the Indian Pediatric Glaucoma Society.

Purpose: To assess the practice patterns among the Indian Pediatric Glaucoma Society (IPGS) members in the management of children with primary congenital glaucoma (PCG).

Methods: An anonymous 74-question survey was administered online via Qualtrics (Qualtrics, Provo, Utah, USA) using a link sent by email to the 88 IPGS members. The questionnaire comprised five sections and was designed to gather information regarding respondent demographics and specialty training, clinic composition and volume, surgical practices and preferences, follow-up practices, and additional services.

Methods: All enrolled patients underwent anterior segment SS-OCT (ANTERION) within one week before and after ICL surgery. A multitask network automatically performed iris SS-OCT image segmentation and quantitative measurements of 3D iris morphology (iris thickness and volume of the inner 1-mm annular area and the outer 1-2-mm annular area, iris curvature [I-Curve], and iris smooth index [SI]).

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the difference in the incidence of the hypertensive phase (HP) between Ahmed glaucoma valve (AGV) patients who received intracameral air injection and those who did not. A total of 78 patients who underwent AGV surgery between January 1, 2016 and June 30, 2023 were included in this retrospective study. HP was defined as intraocular pressure (IOP) greater than 21 mmHg within the first 6 postoperative months.

This retrospective cohort study included patients diagnosed with unilateral BRVO from two Korean tertiary centers (2005-2023), using hemisection fundus images from 27 BRVO-affected eyes paired with 81 unaffected hemisections (27 counter and 54 contralateral) for training.
