Background: Cervical ectropion is frequently associated with vaginal symptoms requiring therapeutic intervention. However, no scientific consensus has been reached regarding the use of local re-epithelialization therapy to prevent severe bleeding, wound inflammation, and infection of cervical lesions.
Objective: The aim of our study was to investigate the aspect of the cervix by colposcopy after a 3-month treatment with an intravaginal medical device in the context of postoperative care of the symptomatic ectropion.

Can combined spinal and epidural anesthesia be the gold standard for laparoscopic surgery for pregnant patients? This case report presents a first trimester pregnant patient who was admitted for obstructive jaundice syndrome (pain in the right hypochondrium, nausea, and vomiting). Initially, because of the risk/benefit ratio of pregnancy, the treatment was medical and the patient was immediately discharged because her clinical condition improved, but she was rapidly readmitted to the surgery department because of worsening symptoms. Emergency surgical intervention (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) under combined spinal and epidural anesthesia (CSEA) was performed to reduce the patient's risks.

The oral mycobiome plays a critical role in maintaining oral and systemic health, with its composition and function influenced by various physiological and environmental factors. This descriptive review explores the changes in the oral mycobiome among postmenopausal women, examining how aging and associated inflammatory processes contribute to these alterations. These changes are linked to an increased prevalence of xerostomia, oral dysbiosis, and inflammation, which can negatively impact both oral and systemic health.

Background/objectives: Immunohistochemical expression of TRPS1 (trichorhinophalangeal syndrome type 1) protein is usually used by pathologists to confirm breast origin for triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC) or metastatic carcinomas of unknown primary. However, recent studies have reported TRPS1 expression in a variety of non-breast lesions. This review aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of TRPS1 expression across various tumor types, highlighting both its diagnostic utility and potential pitfalls that may arise in clinical practice.

The most recent research conducted for the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics indicates that, depending on the stage of cervical cancer (CC), several therapies can provide similar overall survival and progression-free survival rates. To determine the hematologic toxicities during concurrent chemotherapy for cervical cancer, we evaluated these two therapies (cisplatin or carboplatin). Hematologic markers have been studied using statistical models and descriptive statistics.

In this context, attention has been focused on the identification of other prognostic factors that might allow a better identification of cases with worse long-term outcome.
Patients And Methods: Data of patients who underwent cytoreductive surgery between 2014-2019 were retrospectively reviewed and 57 patients were considered eligible for this study.

Maternal hypoglycemia, a condition characterized by lower than normal blood glucose levels in pregnant women, has been increasingly associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes, including low birth weight (LBW) in neonates. LBW, defined as a birth weight of less than 2500 g, can result from various factors, including maternal nutrition, health status, and metabolic conditions like hypoglycemia. Maternal hypoglycemia may affect fetal growth by altering the supply of essential nutrients and oxygen to the fetus, leading to restricted fetal development and growth.

Endometrial cancer is a complex disease influenced by both somatic and germline mutations. While individual mutations in genes such as , and members of the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) system have been extensively studied, comprehensive analyses comparing somatic and germline mutations within the same cohort are limited. This study compares these mutations using whole exome sequencing (WES) data from tumor and blood samples in patients with endometrial cancer.
