Objective: To document interactions during the antenatal consultation between parents and neonatologist that parents linked to their satisfaction with their participation in shared decision making for their infant at risk of being born at the limit of viability.
Methods: This multiple-case ethnomethodological qualitative research study, included mothers admitted for a threatened premature delivery between 200/7 and 266/7 weeks gestation, the father, and the staff neonatologist conducting the clinical antenatal consultation. Content analysis of an audiotaped post-antenatal consultation interview with parents obtained their satisfaction scores as well as their comments on physician actions that facilitated their desired participation.

Objectives: Traditionally, treatment for early stage vulvar cancer has included removal of the primary tumor and inguinofemoral lymph node dissection (IFLD). Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has been proposed as an alternative to IFLD for early stage vulvar cancer patients. The aim of this project was to systematically review and assess the potential for harms and benefits with the SLNB procedure in order to make recommendations regarding the adoption of the procedure, selection of patients and appropriate technique and procedures.

Objective: To determine the incidence of maternal heart rate artefact (MHRA) when monitoring fetal heart rate (FHR) in labour and to determine obstetrical factors associated with MHRA.
Methods: In a prospective observational study, maternal and fetal heart rates were displayed simultaneously to document the superimposition of the maternal heart rate (MHR) on FHR tracings. All women in labour who were undergoing external fetal monitoring (EFM) at the Ottawa Hospital from October 2011 to March 2012 were eligible.
