Background: Families with an infant in need of intensive care most often experience a harmful separation after birth. This is due to a division of medical specialties into neonatal care and maternal care. Therefore, a couplet care intervention is implemented for mother-infant dyads in a neonatal intensive care unit.

Objectives: Pit crew models are designed to improve teamwork in critical medical situations, like advanced life support (ALS). We investigated if a pit crew model training improves performance assessment and ALS skills retention when compared to standard ALS education.
Methods: This was a prospective, blinded, randomized, and controlled, parallel-group trial.
Aim: To evaluate the foot-care educational programme for nurses and care workers at in-home service providers.
Design: A non-randomized controlled study with random cluster sampling method.
Methods: Study participants were nurses and care workers of 21 in-home service providers, including home-visit nursing and care providers, 1-day care service centres or care centres with rehabilitation programme in Japan.
Aim: To identify nurse managers' essential information needs in daily unit operation in perioperative settings.
Design: Qualitative and quantitative descriptive design.
Methods: The study consisted of (I) generation of an item pool of potential information needs, (II) assessment of the item pool by an expert panel and (III) confirming the essential information needs of nurse managers in daily unit operation with a survey (288).
Aim: The aim of this review was to identify and summarize the required competences of nursing PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to pursue a successful researcher career and to compare these competences with the existing competence frameworks.
Design: Scoping review.
