We present an unusual case of Lemierre´s syndrome complicated by multiple brain abscesses, a literature review and suggested management. A young man with multiple brain abscesses deteriorated despite two weeks of directed antibiotics. A multidisciplinary approach was successful.

Here, we present the use of the sphenoid ridge keyhole and its possible advantages as a keyhole for the one-piece OZ approach. Using transillumination technique the osteology of the sphenoid ridge was examined on 20 anatomical dry skull specimens.

Background: Clinicians use a non-standardized, intuitive approach when correlating radiological morphology and etiology of hydrocephalus.

Objective: To investigate the possibility of categorizing hydrocephalus in different groups based on radiological morphology, to analyze if these proposed groups relate to the location and type of underlying pathology, and if this can be of use in clinical practice.
