Symmetrical drug-related intertriginous and flexural exanthema (SDRIFE) is a rare, symmetrical skin eruption triggered by various medications, predominantly beta-lactam antibiotics. We report the case of a 69-year-old male with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis who developed SDRIFE following the seventh intravenous administration of infliximab. The patient presented with symmetrical, pruritic erythema in the cubital and popliteal fossae, groins, gluteal and retroauricular regions without systemic involvement.

Background And Aims: The pathophysiology of haemophilic arthropathy (HA) is complex and largely undefined. Proteomic analyses provide insights into the intricate mechanisms of the HA.Our study aimed to identify differentially expressed proteins in relation to the severity of HA, explore their pathophysiological roles, and evaluate their potential as HA biomarkers.

Patients with EF HIV-HL received two to four cycles of doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (ABVD) + 30 Gy involved field (IF) radiation, those with EU HIV-HL received four cycles of ABVD or BEACOPP (bleomycin, etoposide, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, vincristine, procarbazine, and prednisone) baseline + 30 Gy IF, and six to eight cycles of BEACOPP baseline were administered in advanced disease.

Background: Despite accessible diagnostics and treatment of hypertension, a high proportion of patients worldwide remain unaware of their diagnosis, and even more remain untreated. Several studies suggest that absence of comorbidities is a predictive factor for unawareness and consequently non-treatment of hypertension. There are only a few studies that have assessed the hypertension prevalence and management among apparently healthy individuals.

Introduction: Acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) is a global health problem and early detection of high-risk patients for effective treatment is important. Exhaled breath analysis and measurement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) may be a fast and cost-effective non-invasive diagnostic and screening tool complementing measurement of cardiac biomarkers. Another technique to detect and characterize VOCs is the ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) not requiring vacuum or sample pretreatment.

Introduction: More than 10% of the population worldwide is affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD). Despite many promising indications regarding the use of mHealth education for patients with CKD, there is still little evidence regarding the feasibility, effectiveness outcomes and outcome measures. Therefore, we will conduct a scoping review to examine the currently available evidence on mHealth education for patients with CKD and, thus, explore the existing evidence regarding feasibility, effectiveness outcomes and outcome measures, patient and/or provider perception and implementation challenges.

Laser balloon (LB) ablation of the pulmonary vein (PV) ostia has similar efficacy as radiofrequency wide area circumferential ablation (RF-WACA); however, an approach of LB wide area circumferential ablation (LB-WACA) may further improve success rates.
Objective: To evaluate freedom from atrial tachyarrhythmia (AFT/AF) recurrence postablation using RF-WACA versus LB-WACA in persistent AF patients.
Spontaneous bilateral intraorbital hematoma is a rare complication of sickle cell disease in children. Imaging examinations are of paramount importance in the diagnosis and conditioning of the management processes in order to avoid complications that can compromise the visual function prognosis.

We compared clinical characteristics and outcomes between patients treated with 2-year extended anticoagulation and those who were not, in a population who had completed an initial phase of 3 to 6 months of anticoagulant therapy after acute PE. Methods and Results Observational cohort analysis of patients with PE who survived an initial phase of 3 to 6 months anticoagulation.

Methods: Using administrative registers we assessed the associations between age- and sex-adjusted dementia incidence and neighborhood socioeconomic status (nSES) in 94 Danish municipalities. Wealth was divided into income quartiles and other nSES variables were dichotomized into high versus low according to the median.
Background: florio HAEMO is a new hemophilia treatment monitoring application consisting of a patient smartphone application (app) and a web-based dashboard for healthcare professionals, providing several novel features, including activity tracking, wearable connectivity, kids and caregiver mode, and real-time pharmacokinetic factor level estimation.
Objectives: To assess intuitiveness, ease-of-use, and patient preference of florio HAEMO in Central Europe using a cross-sectional survey.
Methods: This survey was conducted in six Central European countries between 9 December 2020 and 24 May 2021.

Osler-Weber-Rendu disease is a genetic disease characterized by mucocutaneous and visceral telangiectasias. Pulmonary arteriovenous malformation is one of the main visceral complications revealing Osler-Weber-Rendu disease. The present case was a 34-year-old woman with exertional dyspnea and severe hypoxemia revealing pulmonary arteriovenous malformations on chest CT scan.

High-flow oxygen via nasal canula is one therapeutic option which may in certain cases prevent the need of mechanical ventilation. The aim of this review is to summarize the current evidence on the use of high-flow nasal oxygen in patients with severe SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Background Available evidence supports an association between atrial high-rate episode (AHRE) burden and thromboembolic risk, but the necessary extent and duration of AHREs to increase the thromboembolic risk remain to be defined. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to identify the thromboembolic risk associated with various AHRE thresholds. Methods and Results We searched PubMed and Scopus until January 9, 2020, for literature reporting AHRE duration and thromboembolic risk in patients with implantable electronic devices.

Pembrolizumab is an immune checkpoint inhibitor designed to block the interaction between programmed cell death-1 and programmed cell death-ligands 1 and 2. It shows efficacy in the treatment of patients with advanced nonsmall-cell lung cancer, among others. Side effects may involve immune-related adverse events, including vitiligo.
