To our previously reported first crystal structure of a homoleptic zinc curcuminoid complex with square pyramidal geometry, we add herein three new geometries of homoleptic type complexes octahedral, trigonal-pyramidal, and trigonal-bipyramidal. Octahedral geometry was observed in the new pseudo-polymorph of the DAC-Zn complex resulting from crystallization in DMF, while square-pyramidal geometry was obtained in DMSO. Improving crystallinity involved suppressing the phenolic interactions by etherification and esterification.

However, the biological and logistical complexity of manufacturing a living product, including challenges associated with their inherent variability and uncertainties of process parameters, currently make it difficult to achieve predictable cell-product quality. Using a degradable microscaffold-based T-cell process, we developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven experimental-computational platform to identify a set of critical process parameters and critical quality attributes from heterogeneous, high-dimensional, time-dependent multiomics data, measurable during early stages of manufacturing and predictive of end-of-manufacturing product quality.

Background: Fungal enzymes are vital for industrial biotechnology, including the conversion of plant biomass to biofuels and bio-based chemicals. In recent years, there is increasing interest in using enzymes from thermophilic fungi, which often have higher reaction rates and thermal tolerance compared to currently used fungal enzymes. The thermophilic filamentous fungus produces large amounts of highly thermostable plant cell wall-degrading enzymes.
