Background And Aim: Acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a clinical syndrome described in patients with acute decompensation (AD) of cirrhosis, characterized by organ failures and high mortality. Intensive management, including liver transplantation (LT), has been shown to improve survival. Sarcoidosis is a diagnosis that should be considered in patients receiving interferon therapy, who present with anemia and multiorgan dysfunction regardless of the duration of their treatment.
