Unlabelled: The retropharyngeal space is a distinct space along the midline that extends from the skull base to the upper mediastinum. Retropharyngeal space lesions can produce significant morbidity, given their proximity to the aero-digestive tract, skull base and its ability to extend into upper mediastinum. Difficulty in assessing the retropharyngeal space by direct inspection or physical examination may cause delay in diagnosis and early intervention thus knowledge about these lesions and their effective management is essential.

Epidemiology of Iodine Deficiency Disorders in North-Eastern Part of Karnataka, India.

The north-eastern part of Karnataka lies on the Deccan Plateau of the South Indian Peninsula, characterized by black soil. Fibrous Dysplasia of Sphenoid: A Case Report.

A 20-year-old female attended ENT OPD with complaints of headache for 3 years, A diagnostic nasal endoscopy was done which showed no significant abnormalities, and CT PNS was done which showed Extensive sclerotic bony expansion with a ground glass appearance involving the clivus, right greater wing of sphenoid, pterygoid processes - Likely fibrous dysplasia since she had no other signs or symptoms, she was kept under observation.

Facial Nerve Function and Hearing Following Facial Nerve Decompression for Traumatic Facial Nerve Palsy Through Posterior Tympanotomy Approach: A Descriptive Study.

To assess Facial Nerve function and hearing status among patients who have undergone facial nerve decompression via the Posterior tympanotomy approach for traumatic facial nerve palsy. A descriptive study was carried out in a tertiary referral centre. Patients with traumatic facial nerve palsy (HB VI) who underwent facial nerve decompression via posterior tympanotomy approach were enrolled in the study after at least 3 months of the surgery.

Loss of Taste: A Case of Unusual Tonsillectomy Complication Resolved with Empiric Zinc Supplementation.

Post-tonsillectomy loss of taste is an uncommon, yet significant complication. The author reports a case of post-tonsillectomy loss of taste, for six months. Zinc deficiency was thought to be the cause, it resolved with zinc supplementation.

To Study the Incidence of Biofilm Formation, its Microbiology and its Effect on the Development of Acute and Chronic Rhinosinusitis- A Prospective Study.

Bacterial biofilms are organised complex structures having polymicrobial nature in a single community, which provide protection to bacteria from antibiotics by various means. The aim of our study was to determine the prevalence of biofilm-forming bacteria in clinical isolates of acute and chronic rhinosinusitis (ARS and CRS) patients with sinonasal mucopurulence. To know the incidence of bacterial biofilms in patient with ARS and CRS, to study the microbiology of bacterial biofilms in ARS and CRS, to assess the role and effects of biofilm in ARS and CRS and to correlate the association between the formation of the biofilm and development of rhinosinusitis.

Case of recurrent Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans- factors and pitfalls.

Predictive factors for visual prognosis in neurosyphilis presenting with optic atrophy: a Chinese case series study.

Prevalence of Fungal Sinusitis in Cases of Allergic Rhinitis: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Allergic fungal rhinosinusitis is a non-invasive form of highly recurrent chronic rhinosinusitis. Onodi Cell Mucocele as a Cause of Acute-Onset Blindness - A Rare cause of Optic Neuropathy.

We describe a new case of Onodi cell mucocele in a 32-year-old woman who presented with progressive blurring of vision and pain in her right eye. Congenital Cheek Salivary Fistula Associated with an Aberrant Parotid Duct System: Embryological Considerations and Surgical Repair.

Quality of Life and Nutritional Outcomes with PEG Feeding in Locally Advanced Oral Cancer: An Institutional Experience.

Correlation Between Surgical Outcome and Stage of Acquired Middle Ear Cholesteatoma: Revalidation of the Chole Staging System.

The aim of the study is to assess and correlate the stage of cholesteatoma with its surgical outcome using the ChOLE classification, and thus revalidate it.
