Background: This study aimed to perform an immunoprofiling of systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA) in order to define biomarkers of clinical use as well as reveal new immune mechanisms.

Methods: Immunoprofiling of plasma samples from a clinically well-described cohort consisting of 21 sJIA patients as well as 60 age and sex matched healthy controls, was performed by a highly sensitive proteomic immunoassay. Background: In effective diabetes management, it is important that providers and health care systems prioritize the delivery of patient-centered care and that they are respectful of and responsive to individual patient preferences and barriers.

Objective: The objective of the study was to conduct focus group interviews to capture patients' and health care professionals' perceptions and attitudes regarding digital technology and to explore how the digital Diabetes Questionnaire can be used to support patient participation in diabetes care, as a basis for an implementation study.

Background: Extremely preterm birth is a risk factor for reduced lung function later in life, and clinical follow-up from early childhood is recommended. Dynamic spirometry is the most widely used method to assess airway obstruction, but impulse oscillometry (IOS) may be an alternative method that is easier to perform in young children. Childhood asthma in the new omics era: challenges and perspectives.

Purpose Of Review: Childhood asthma is a heterogeneous inflammatory disease comprising different phenotypes and endotypes and, particularly in its severe forms, has a large impact on the quality-of-life of patients and caregivers. The application of advanced omics technologies provides useful insights into underlying asthma endotypes and may provide potential clinical biomarkers to guide treatment and move towards a precision medicine approach.

Recent Findings: The current article addresses how novel omics approaches have shaped our current understanding of childhood asthma and highlights recent findings from (pharmaco)genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics studies on childhood asthma and their potential clinical implications to guide treatment in severe asthmatics.
